Wasn't there already one on the market? I don't think we needed root to get the flip clock, it's just an app.
There's one on the market but it's not nearly as nice as the HTC version, i.e. doesn't have weather. I'd be interested in trying out the one with animations as well. Anybody know where to find it?

Thats strange, I swore I saw that animated clock on my Sprint hero when I first got it (but removed it because I dont want a clock on my homepage). I guess it was just the other animated dial clock then?

i have no idea im a total noob on all this it took me two and a half days to fig out how to root and flash the rom but im trying to get the hang of this

i dont think the hero supports many colors like the G1. i have tried SMSpopup and chompSMS, both have the option, but neither work.
that sucks i hope is has them i dont see why htc would take them out
in order for an LED to have different colors, it has to have different colored diodes within it. No app will magically add another colored diode in the LED

Well you should have the SDK from when you rooted. I'd say thats the first step.

if you have to ask, no offense, you probably arent a sufficient programmer, plenty of guides on setting up and using java/android SDK, also probably a ton of sample code around too... you have to setup java/eclipse/android_sdk...

I dont think it is red..I belkieve it is orange on the CDMA version...
Curious to know, after looking at the demo video for Windows Phone 7 (or windows mobile 7 whatever), is there some sort of widget we could put on our screens, or has anyone heard of one, that can show off our recent calls? I think that would be handy indeed. I'll do some more searching but I didn't see anything yet, if I find something, I'll be sure to edit and update this post.

Looks like the guy wants to copy something that was demo'd in a winmo7 phone.
I think it's a good idea, recent calls widget would be nice, along with any of the other "tiles" or widgets they have going on in the new winmo. One of the greatest parts of being an open OS is that if you like the idea that someone else has came up with, you can take that idea and run with it.

im not sure but all i was getting at is that if you like the widget im sure a dev on here would have the know how to pull the .apk from GDE and make it a stand alone widget for any android system?

the drivers have to work with our hardware. visualizationwallpapers and visualization are just for lwp.

You cant install it straight up. its a system app. you have to with adb or root explorer from phone.

I flashed the signed zip and now my phone wont boot. Stuck at the white HTC EVO 4G screen.

those apps are made to run with droid hardware which is very different. we would need proper drivers for our devices to work with them...no loss, we got the good stuff. i scoured the whole dump. im looking to see how the system looks and deciding if its worth making a rom out of. chocmatic and myself might give it a go for practice.Sorry, i dont know enough to make drivers from source yet.

yes. i was trying to make it easy. dl it. open the zip and then move the kb and its lib files to their corresponding folders on your phone. im reupping now w/o the two questionable drivers

I might be able to get a phone to test with. My gf let me put cm7 on her hd2 but won't let me touch her sk4g
Also after I finish my portfolio and study for finals I'm going to attempt some things with the recovery. Stay tuned though I bet someon beats me to it
