first i have to say sorry for my bad english...
now my problem:
yesterday i´d successfully rooted my HTC magic with the tutorial from Hayriku.
My Problem now is that i have to send my phone to vodafone and i´d like to set it back to factory defaults and also unroot it.
i searched the forum and found another thread with the original sapphire recovery... so i tried it this way.
i put the img. file on my SD Card and typed in the command for a reboot, but the cmd line says me "not found"
i typed "adb shell reboot" but then it told me "not found"
Now i´ve got a huge problem and hope somebody could help me.

Could you post the link to the tutorial please? I've seen differents versions of the same one, so maybe some steps differs)
But, if you have well done the other parts of the tutorial, I presume that you can do an "ugly" reboot... (aka removing the battery and boot it normally).

it was the first Tutorial which is in the Haykiru Root thread, here from XDA-Developers.
isnt it the same way to reboot via ADB, or power off and start manually ?
how can i check if my phone is resetted to ne original recovery ?

Sorry to necropost, but I've searched the forum and couldn't really find an appropriate thread/ sub-topic except for this.
I have a Galaxy I7500 phone with the GAOSP beta 3(2.2). Each time I tried to boot, the GAOSP loading screen would bootloop. I've tried the following methods:
1) Downloaded the Samsung drivers
2) Re-flashed through the installation of GAOSP, but the process would be stuck at the cmd; fastboot is not recognized as an internal/ external command despite I've installed the Android 1.0
I reformatted the SD card because I wanted to wipe out the data. Little did I realize that the crucial system files were wiped out too. Only the mini-recovery and the download mode are available. But I'm not able to mount the storage since the phone wouldn't load at all.
Suggestions are appreciated.
EDIT: Tried the 'push' the rectools.tar.gz via cmd but the command wasn't recognized.

After 3 days of searching, I found Unlock Root 2.3.0 that successfully ROOTed a GHT Maestro.
The hardles were two;
1. GHT Maestro has almost no reference over the web for ADB friendly USB driver;
2. Android 2.1 Update 1 is well known as a bricked platform, thus Universal AndRoot, SuperOneClick, etc. fails to ROOT the device;
Assuming you have Android SDK, Java SDK & Java VM installed;
a. Download Unlock Root;
b. Run Unlock Root;
c. Connect the phone with USB;
d. Make sure USB debugging is enabled on the device settings;
e. Use ADB devices to check your phone is found by ADB;
f. Hit the ROOT button and allow to reboot the phone when it wants too;
Now GHT Maestro is ROOTed Use a terminal application on the phone with following commands to check;
$ su
# cd data
# cd app-private
# mkdir foo bar
# ls
You should see that the directories are created which is a super user only task.

I also am trying to upgrade, to Android 4.0 ICS, but no luck so far. I came to know that Android 2.1 can't be upgraded unless downgraded first, not sure. Also that GHT used a custom boot loader for this phone without a FastBoot option which is making the process way too difficult I wish someone here could advice me what to do if there is no FastBoot option with the boot loader.
Before upgrading, I need to mod this devices but installing FireFireFire as boot loader and TWRP as the recovery image. Then the Android upgrade process. But absence of FastBoot option has bricked the process.
The WiFi issue is the same for me as well. I thought it was a factory fault in my device. Yours just stopped working on a sudden or it didn't work from the beginning like mine?

wifi, last week i can not start my wifi it says unable to start
Also why you want to upgrade to 4.0 i heard android 2.2 froyo
is a better solution for this phone,

i have the same problem : find the mode fastboot on this phone (GHT masestro) ,
if i find it i can save my ROM and after try some other ROM 2.2
for the wifi , the bug is after doing a reset of the phone ! after the reset it is impossible to start it!
may be that it is a Chinese phone distributed under other brands , if we find a phone identical Chinese will have may be the same procedure for fastboot ?

My GHT Maestro got into the same situation, like to be a month ago! The boot loader GHT screen appears but it never finished off botting! Tried with factory reset using recovery mode, no help.
Anyone out there with any help?

Hello. I have an foreign phone (chinesse i think) it's called Colorovo CityTone Vision.

I instaled Chainfire 3D and the i activated ESP (i think) driver. Then the phone powered off and it didn't booted since then. The screen is totaly black. It is a bit lighted. Firstly I enetered in the stock recovery mode to wipe all data. I tought that this will work but didn't. I searched foar an better recovery mode and i found this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788632. I followed the instructions to install TWRP but after I finished (I metion tha i couldn't unlock the bootloader because i goat an error tha says "oem command not found" or something like this) I couldn't acces the recovery mode neither. All i cand do now is to enter in fastboot mode. I cand only use these commands: fastboot devices, fastboot reboot, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img . The adb is not detecting my phone ( i have all the drivers installed corectly). I'm despered. I can't find any file for my phone (stock recovery or stock files). I'm very sad. I tryed to fix my phone all the day ( almost 8 hours). PLEASE HELP ME!
What can i do to repair my phone. It is there any universal stock files or stock recovery?

Unfortunately your device is not a confirmed device for chainfire 3d. Please review this thread (mainly the first post) here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427

In the mean time you should look everywhere for the stock firmware.
I'd also like to mention that the method you tried to do to install twrp was for the oneplus one. You're playing with fire here.

hello
so last time i wanted to install that "touch fix" for my Chuwi vi8, after a reboot my tablet wasn't able to boot anymore, it just won't stop to reboot, i can still boot to Windows with lock+up volume + home button, i can also go in the stock recovery mode, yes i already tried factory reset and it didn't worked, how can i fix it ?
i can also get clockwork mode but i just have error closed... i installed all the drivers i was able to found but no one fixed the "error closed" when using sideload, also i don't know WHERE IS THE STOCK ROM...
I have this www needrom com download chuwi-vi8-dual-os
"file is too big" so i format in NTFS but then the tablet won't recognize it, and seems like it's the WINDOWS ROM i don't need the WINDOWS ROM I JUST NEED THE STOCK ANDROID ROM
i've been trying to fix this since MONTHS, tried yesterday, it took my whole day today and yesterday STILL NOTHING.

Hello,
I hope it is the right place to ask for help .... The automatic system update failed and now the tablet is stuck at Android System Recovery Screen. Wipe Data / factory reset does not bring the system back, so I guess I need to upload rom / update from sd card - I got option "apply update from sd card".
So, please, help me to recover from this situation as my tablet is stuck .... I do not have or could not find the right files to use with "apply update from sd card."
Or, any links to the tutorial for updating / uploading rom for this model will help ...

I solved the problem by uploading the rom again.
1) SPF Tool + MTEK drivers for win
2) Official ROM
Just two things:
a) if SPF throws error you need to choose upgrade firmare not download
b) you need to take off the back cover and unattach the battery otherwise it will not work

Hi everyone. Just did the solution like what Luqpa_W said but my tablet is still bootlooping on lenovo screen. There is no problem during flashing and everything seems fine during flashing. I do not really understand what is the problem with my tablet. If someone knows how to deal with it, please let me know.
