BBC Iplayer
Hi
You need to change the custom user agent to the same one as the HTC Touch HD - then it works fine!

How are you changing the user agent because whenever I try to change it and soft reset it's still stuck on 1 ... do I need to turn off TF3D before I attempt this? Also could you post the HD's user agent please. Thanks

Trouble with flashplayer on htc hd2

Hi there,
I am a complete noobie and just looking for advice and help to understand certain aspects of my smartphone. My main question is - why can't I view video footage posted on facebook and other websites? A message appears saying I need a more up to date flashplayer to view them. I thought as this was a new device it would have up to date software already installed.
I have installed flashplayer 7 but nothing has changed and i don't want to start downloading everything I read about as I not too sure what I'm doing. The funny thing is I can watch videos on youtube which just confuses me even more and i wonder if I have bitten off more than I can chew with this phone. Its fast becoming like my wife - its very complicated and I love it and hate it at the same time!
Please help
Thanks Nick
Flash 10 maybe?
Hi Nick,
From what i have heard, it is only the windows explorer (not the opera browser) that supports flash on the HD2.
I have also heard that there is a new flash 10 from Adobe that is available for mobile devices.
Sorry I can't be more help. But I would recommend that you place the thread into the HD2 (HTC Leo) forum. You will definitely get the response you deserve.
Pm me if you get it working
flash 10
im having the exact same problem, and flash 10 doesnt work..... Its pretty damn annoying!!! anyone know what to do???
due to my research I've find out that the only web browser without any problems in opening flash sites is skyfire. Here is the link for that enjoy...
Ups I can not post a link so try to get it from get.skyfire.com
Skyfire
How do you turn the phone to landscape in Skyfire. Watching BBCi, as it would not work in Opera, but would not rotate as the web does in Opera.
Cheers
opera mobile 10 beta 3
I actually tried the new opera beta and it plays flash movies pretty good (simply enable plugins from the advanced settings menu)

HTC HD2 Flash
I have the same problem, i even downloaded skyfire and different adobe flash software
But nothing works..
Sometimes it says: install failed, no matter how many times i try
And sometimes nothing happens at all
Now i've read a post about a tool called FixOperaFlash
I followed everything but still when i try to open a radio stream
It shows a flash button(this time bigger, so something has changed this time)
But still i cant get it to work
So what i need is just a flash player so i can listen to this stream radio
If you have found a solution and u can get this stream radio to work: realhardstyleradio.nl/player/
Then plz tell me, coz im running out of options
Thank you very much in advance!!!!
I am also pulling my hair out over this flash issue.
I have the ATT Fuze and I have been going to Talkstreamlive.com for a long time and now all of a sudden, I see they are catering to the Iphone users and when I try to listen to most any of the radio streams I have used for many many months now, I get the dreaded Flash player not installed or incorrect version error, and it just sits there showing the Adobe icon.
I have emailed TSL but as of now, still no answer to my questions...
What else can I use to get around ths adobe 7 issue? I keep hearing about adobe 10, but as far as I know, that version is not for WM devices, right? If not, where can I get it to try out?
Thanks for any help and please hurry, as I am running out of hair!!

sounds like there are corporate wars being waged over this and we are in the middle. Only if Adobe wants to give in to the rest of the world OR everyone boycotts them to force sites to abandon Flash for something else-will we ever get access to all our favorite streaming video.

HELP!
Yes I have the same problem. Had a look at several "fixes" around the web including the ones on here. None have worked, and the "fixopera flash" one may as well be written in Chinese, as I have no idea how to perform the fix, even following the idiots guide!
Any simple help would be much appreciated!
Bump! please help!
Answers to all your questions
I've read all of your replies and I researched on Flash Player for HD2 and I got result. Answers to all your questions are given below:-
Does HD2 Support Flash Player?
Yes
Can we get flash player of HD2 from adobe.com?
No
Which Browser Supports Flash Player?
IE Mobile- Flash Player Lite 3.5
Opera 10.1- Flash Player 7.0
Skyfire- Flash Player 10.1
How can I get Skyfire?
Skyfire is available for download from WM Marketplace, Omarket, and other App store Markets.
Can Skyfire be easily Installed?
Yes
Will Flash Player work after installing Skyfire?
The Answer to your question is- 'NO'. And the reason behind it is- Skyfire has started developing things for Android and Iphone and currently they have changed their servers. So every time you open Skyfire Browser, it shows connecting but it says 'connection error' or makes any other excuse. Skyfire is No Longer Supported for Windows Mobile.
Get android, seriously
Skyfire substitute
Hi all,
I don't have a HD2 but i do have a HD that has been flashed with WM6.5 and I've recently discovered uZard as an alternative to the Skyfire internet browser.
It's at beta stage but lets you watch flash videos etc like on a desktop and considering it's at beta stage, seems to be really fast. There are a number of posts here at xda but you can just Google "uZard Web P Beta Ver.2.0" to download it from the official website.
Hope this helps some of you

Can't access website on Opera Mobile

About 2 days ago, my HTC Fuze started having trouble accessing http://m.gizmodo.com (and any other mobile Gawker site) from Opera Mobile. I can view the normal version of Gizmodo just fine and the site will open in Internet Explorer, but when trying to access it in Opera, I get the following message:
"The site is currently unavailable; please contact the system administrator."
Any idea what could be causing this? I tried deleted all cookies, cache and history; rebooting the phone; etc., but nothing seems to have corrected the problem.
maybe it's a proxy setting thing

OK...so how do I address that? All other websites seems to be working just fine using Opera Mobile. I reported the problem on gawker's support site, but it seems to be community driven, so I'm not sure I'll get a response unless someone else had the same problem and was able to find a solution.

iplayer help TMobile...

hi guys, this is my first post, and im looking for some help please!
i am trying to watch windows iplayer.
my htc hd2 is on tmobile.
i have sussed how to get my device recognised "opera:config" then change the phone identity to "HTC_Touch_HD_T8282"
my phone is now recognised.
the problem i have now is that when i click on a program to watch, the following message appears
"we do not currently support bbc iplayer outside the united kingdom"
i am within the uk, and im trying to access via wifi... and suggestions?
chris
correction *bbc iplayer !
Hi Chris, try entering "sgh-i900" (without the quotes) in the "custom user-agent" field within "user prefs". This works for me. Also you might want to try myplayer which you can download via this forum or through a Google search.
This is an excellent piece of software, which as well as allowing access to iplayer also allows you to download programs directly to your device and gives access to a range of different multimedia services such as itvplayer, Hulu, MSNplayer and Five on demand.
Intifaada
Download MyPlayer!! I dont have a link but search for it on the forums, its awesome.

Won't play 3gpp video after installing Youtube App

Hi, only had the HD2 for a week and I'm trying to get to grips with it. So far an amazing phone. I've already found some useful tips on here, like the bluetooth fix when tomtom install kills it.
I have noticed that when I install the youtube app (also found on here as t-mobile remove it) then the phone stops playing 3gpp videos.
Without the app, I just browse to the memory card and tap on the movie and off it goes, when it's installed a single tap of the file just highlights it and it goes no further.
I'd love some help on this.....
Many thanks in advance,
Chris.
Bump?? Someone must have an idea what's going on here?
Many thanks,
Chris.
Hi Chris, i've got the same problem with t-mobile uk. they've disabled the youtube app, i spoke to their technical guys and they personally think it was stupid of tmobile to remove this (no app and disabled it from the browser, the only option im afraid is either use youtube app but no persoanl videos, or remove youtube and watch your videos again. they ARE working on a fix (apparently) but wouldnt hold my breath. the only workaround i have managed to use is skyfire with a wireless connection (you wont get any sound with 3G).
soz, but you're not alone

ive tried this again. still not getting any soung through 3g. also read somewhere on this site that you can access youtube through ie. i tried again this morning, no luck. come on t-mobile, pull your finger out!!!
Flash a standard HTC ROM or a custom ROM from here on XDA-developers.
You will not be disappointed. My Leo lasted less than a week on the stock T-Mobile ROM. Why they have to stick their own ROM on an otherwise unbranded device is beyond me.

[Q] Flash problem in HC 3.2

Hi guys,
I bought Transformer for my wife and one of the website she regularly access is mivo.tv. It's a live TV stream site and there several channels you can watch.
Unfortunately, using default browser I could not switch to other channel. When I click to the channel I would like to watch, it just doing nothing.
If I use Opera, I could select the other channel. But still there is a problem if I watch it in landscape mode, there is an info bar running across the TV. In portrait mode, it works ok.
I tried other browsers and all are having problem as the default browser.
I've tried it with the other Transformer in the store (3.2 as well) and it has the same problem. I think it was fine when I tried a few weeks ago in the store (I can't remember the HC version but I believe it's before 3.2).
Do you guys have any idea what is the problem?
Thanks in advance.
Do you try with Dolphin HD, it support FLASH also.
Regards,
Pat.
I've tried almost all browsers but the one which works only Opera so far.
Can anybody please go to the that website (mivo.tv) and try to click other channel (RCTI for example) and see if it works ?
Thanks in advance.

I tried the stock browser and Dolphin HD browser and get the same results as you. I tried in on my Xoom and the same results. Both are running HC 3.2. I then tried it on my PC and the channel selection does work but could never clear a Jack in the Box ad so I am not to sure the website is not the problem. Good luck.
Thanks for your feedback. I think I'll try to downgrade to 3.1 as I've seen it worked with standard browser before in the store.
Finally I have a time to downgrade to 3.1 and it works! Stock browser, Dolphin HD & Opera are working properly, I can select to the other channel without problem now.
So it's HC 3.2 which causing the problem.
Now I need to find out how to disable the upgrade offer
If you have root, use titanium backup and freeze DMClient app.
