brando screen protector - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Accessories

They make the best protectors, but this time, they messed up. With the cutting of curse, not the quality. they cut the top right corner completely off, instead of just a camera hole. this will make it visible, especially under sunlight where the reflection of the top right corner is completely different. I now bought a 3M vikuiti, which is supposed to have no hole at all for the top right camera. 3M also includes a protector for the keys below, making the top and the bottom look the same unlike brando.

I am also not so happy with the brando protector. But more with the quality of it. The brando messes the sharpness of the TD. With the original protector the screen looks sharp, but the brando one has a non fingerprint feature on it which messes up the sharpness of the screen.

amFilm Tempered Glass screen protector review

I received my amFilm tempered glass screen protector 3 days ago. The packaging of all the contents came in a hard clear plastic which included:
Tempered glass screen protector
Rear PET screen protector
An alcohol wipe
A dry wipe
6 dust removing stickers
Micro-fiber cloth
Squeegee card
Instructions
Following the instructions, of course I washed my hands to remove any oils/dirt. Tip- I would suggest doing this in an area as clean as possible. TIP: states do it in the bathroom after a hot shower has been running so the steam settles any dust. I've done this on Zagg screen protectors and it works, but I failed to do this which caused troubles during installation.
I powered down the phone and wiped the screen with the included alcohol wipe. Then using the dry wipe i wiped off any excess liquid (which was not very much). I used the micro-fiber cloth to wipe the screen down one more time. Looking a the screen i saw one strand of fiber/dust, which then I used the stickers included which lifted it right off.
Installing the tempered protector was fairly straight forward. I tried to center the screen protector and used the home button to gauge how off center to the left and right I was and if the glass was angled in relation to the top of the home button. I made sure the glass was straight along both sides of the screen and placed it down. You do need to press in the center vertically and horizontally for the glass to set well.
Lifting the glass up was pretty easy using a finger nail, I had to lift it off because debris got under and got attached to the tempered glass. I used the dust sticker again and it removed the debris with ease. Positioning the tempered glass again I got it this time. For some reason the edges of the tempered glass still have this look that the sticky backing isnt completely pressed down. I try for 30sec-1min to hold my thumb on these areas and it comes back. That look when an air bubble is under and it wont get pressed out is the best I can describe.
I'm a perfectionist, this probably caused installing it harder than it should have been.
Yes there is a gap about 3 credit cards thick between top and bottom. I do wish it covered more toward the bottom and under the home button and reaching up between the front camera and earpiece grill.
There is also a gap of about 2 credits from the sides of the tempered glass and my Spigen Hybrid Crystal case. I understand why they did this because different cases grip around the front of the phone differently, so to be compatible the width of the tempered glass is just wide enough to cover the actual screen.
Just wish the tempered glass covered a little more.
The thickness of the amFilm tempered glass is .33mm. This makes the glass just a tad higher than the home button, which makes it nice as its more comfortable when my thumb may be at the bottom and it feels more flush than having the home button raised.
Another thing i notice is the softkeys at the bottom emit a glow just below the tempered glass ends. This annoys me because I feel the glass wasnt properly measured.
The glass is very smooth and attracts less finger prints than without it or on my bare LG G2 screen (having no screen protector).
After 3 days of use, there still are those areas around the screen that will not go away (See photo below). At the moment that is the only thing bothering me. It feels nice and visibility is perfectly clear, touch response has gone unchanged as well.
For the price of $7.99 + free shipping (at the time of me writing this) on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UH8KKA0/ref=cfb_at_prodpg
its not bad and for that price can't go wrong with it. It comes with a rear PET screen protector, which I did not install. So there is extra benefit :good: (I have plans to install a dBrand rear skin).
Feel free to ask any questions.
Here are some pictures of everything described.
I took your advice and ordered one. Thanks for taking the time to review this screen protector. I appreciate it. I'll get it in a couple days. I'm sure it will do just fine. It seems from your description that installing it is simple enough. Thanks again.
I have this. It cracks if you just drop the phone onto a hard surface from like 1 or 2 inches high. Very fragile... They replaced first one for free. I don't know if they will replace the second one. But, I'm happy it's there to take the impact in stead of the real screen..
There are glass sp 0.2-0.25mm thickness for less than $5 on ebay. They work just as well, if not better.

IMAK Glass screen protector

I just received my IMAK glass screen protector. Purchased this on AliExpress. Here are some photos of it and how I installed it. I used the 3 stickers to make a hinge after it's positioned correctly. That way I just have to remove the backing and then stick it. I'll just seperate my review into pros and cons.
Pros:
-The screen protector fits nicely. I chose this one because it has the little speaker cut out on top.
-It feels good because it is glass.
-It protects the screen well because it is glass.
Cons:
-It is glass so it has some thickness to it.
-Holds fingerprints more than screen itself
-It has a little orange peel so it's not crystal clear. You can see in the picture of the reflection of the light that it looks a little muddy instead of mirror like.
Overall, it's good for the price, but not perfect. Personally I'm back and forth between glass and film screen protectors. I'll give this a try for a few weeks and then make a final decision.

Those guiding stickers are ingenious, never seen them before and the idea is just so simple and clever!!
Perfect, I know what I have to do when my phone and Nillkin protector arrive.
Thanks for sharing.
That is a lot nicer than the Riffue Tempered Glass screen protector I bought on Amazon. This one is thin and has a good height but is several mm too narrow, it doesn't even cover the LCD display let alone the entire screen/glass.
the one i order covers like half of the screen lmao wtf
just ordered one like yours.
I had one similar too this, but the dust collected over front camera under the glass.
It has some glue on it, does this IMAK one used static?
Here is a link to the one i bought.
I tried many different ones but for me this is the best.
The coating is very good against fingerprints. It fits perfect on the screen.
The sides of the screen are a little bit curved down which is good for the dust.

I agree, this is the best screenprotector i have ever bought. It fits perfect and the coating feels the same as on the original screen :good::good:
Just wanted to echo everyone else about how great the Imak full coverage screen protector is. I went through four different screen protectors so far (unknown brand thin plastic one, MOFI tempered glass, another MOFI tempered glass, and finally the IMAK full coverage)
The thin plastic one came bundled with the phone and would scratch if you so much as raised your voice at it. Placed it on just as a temporary protector while waiting for the others to come from Aliexpress. It just barely covered the display and left about 1.5mm of space on the edges. The phone was accidentally smacked out of my hand once and landed on a sandy floor face down, which I later discovered upon removal of the screen protector had caused a small chip on the screen near the edge, so the protector might have absorbed some of the impact.
The first MOFI tempered glass I got was a "full coverage" one, but it arrived with notches cut out on the bottom where the proximity sensor and front camera are. The worst thing about this one was that it only had adhesive on the edges, so there was a really distracting and noticeable rainbow effect (newton rings) in the middle of the screen.
The second MOFI tempered glass was also full coverage, and this time it didn't have notches at the bottom, just a hole cutout where the proximity sensor is located. The adhesive type was the same as the previous one, edge only, resulting in the newton ring effect. It also mysteriously cracked for no reason.
The one I have on currently is the IMAK full coverage screen protector. Indisputably the best out of all of them, the protector fits exactly over the entire front glass, and instead of cutout holes at the bottom, the chin at the bottom is fully glass, blackened except for where the proximity sensor and front camera are. Full adhesive all throughout means there is no rainbow effect, and the LED notification light is even tinted slightly so that it blends in with the chin, and is invisible until it turns on! The only flaw about this screen protector (yes, there is one) is that the area underneath the front camera is too thin to apply adhesive, so as a result there's a tiny gap between the glass and phone that can let in dust after a while. The dust does not seem to affect the front camera, and I never take selfies anyway, but I have yet to figure out a good way to get the dust out of there.
I have never had a screen protector fit this perfectly, even for phones other than the Mi Mix 2. Most other screen protectors have cutouts for the proximity sensor/front camera/both, but this one blends in so well that it feels like it's not even there.
Does anyone know if this protector has a dot matrix on the screen (tiny dots that reflect)? I purchased a Misha 3D protector from Amazon which looks identical to this, and it's great except for the grid of dots across the screen.

When I tried it there were no dots, just very reflective and had a weird smudge pattern going on which ruined it.
The flossmall one posted elsewhere is so much better.
Lol those kind of screen protectors damn sucks, they are not full glue, so that make lot of reflections. The nillkin (regular tempered glass, full glue, no black borders), is perfect and cover all the display... So why buy this imak piece of ****?

After putting the screen protector on, I take a toothpick and put some glue from a Pritt-stick in the little gap underneath the camera. Not much, just enough to close the gap. When it has dried you can color it with a black whiteboard marker if you want. When you remove the screen protector you can easily rub it off. Works great for me :good:
Thanks!

Has anyone purchased a tempered glass screen protector for this phone that they like?
Most of the ones I have looked at on amazon have complaints that they interfere with the fingerprint scanner or they have great reviews but aren't even available for another month. LOL.

I m using trink(unbreakable ) bought from shop
I've always gone for a matte protector in the past but there were none on the market and I found myself enjoying the clarity of an unadulterated screen. So I decided to go for tempered glass and bought these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B073T91BR7
Got two in a pack. Wasn't happy with the application of the first one I put on, so pulled it off and used the second one which I am 99% happy with. Small bubble on one extreme edge which really isn't a problem other than it triggers my OCD. In terms of the protector itself, it's a nice feel tempered glass affair and feels no different to the glass of the original screen. My one criticism is that it is slightly smaller than I think it needs to be. It covers the screen area - just. The cut outs at the top are odd (unless there's a sensor next to the front camera that I don't know about. Personally think they'd have been better off not bothering with the top cutouts and just making it a straight line underneath the earpiece. The cutout for the fingerprint sensor fits well. It actually adds height to the well in which the sensor fits, so it kind of guides your finger to the right location. I use the swipe navigation so I suppose time will tell whether it gets in the way on that front.
A 7 out of 10 for me.
I just installed iVoler on my wife's phone.
The top cutouts are weird... I messed up my first tgsp trying to align the flash cutout. Gratefully it was a 2-pack.
Managed to install it without any bubble and almost centered. She doesn't do selfies, so the front-facing flash is not important, and it still works well, it's just inelegant imo (cf. pictures)
Other than that it's a fingerprint magnet, it does not adhere well on the sides and on the top left corner, but it does the job ok for now.
I'll see if someone finds a better one and probably change it.
I don't recommend it

Replying to myself here, but downgrading to a 2 out of 10. A few days in and I have a ding in the protector slap bang in the middle of the screen. Someone less OCD than I would probably put up with it but I don't think I can. My eyes keep getting drawn to it.
I have not tried any tempered glass protectors, but I did install these on both my and my wife's phone. It's pretty good, especially the clarity, it's somewhat okay in resisting fingerprints, but when the screen is on, it's hard to notice any fingerprint smudges. If you can't find a tempered glass protector you like, these will do nicely.
[8-Pack] Moto G5S Plus Screen Protector on Amazon
What you think about this, quality?
by dipos - Motorola Moto G5s Plus Screen Protector - 2x dipos Flexible Glass 9H Display Protection?
They're awful, tempered glasses don't go over to the edges because the screen is slightly curved, plus they get super sweaty, reflective and gross in general. Took off mine, won't recommend.

Wow, that one looks like it wasn't even made for your phone, the size is too small and the cutout is wrong - surely any model sold specifically for "G5S Plus" should be a better fit?
I bought the same one linked in the 3rd post, but I have NOT put it on yet. The biggest complaint people have with it is "does not go to the edge" . It is not supposed to!
I have the Spigen case with carbon fiber texture inserts. It wraps around the top edges of the g5s+. So a full front protector would either not let the case fit properly AND / OR would push up the edges of the screen protector.

Tempered glass screen protector Max3

I was looking to get a tempered glass screen protector for Max3 that was fully compatible. The first one I got had the hole for the front camera in the wrong position so I had to send that one back. I then bought this one (which was half the price).
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-2-Pa...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
This one has 3 holes in the top and one does match with the front camera, though once matched up the bottom is a little short by ~3mm and the sides aren't too bad but could be a little closer to the edge.
Has anybody come across one yet that does a better job than this.? I've attached some pictures.
Looks good up top but the bottom and those sides are pretty bad. I'm just taking my chances. This device is so cheap I don't plan on keeping it more than a year. Although I do have 4 cases but that's more for preventing scratches on the camera lens.

I know, the camera will be covered by glass (this is by design, not a mistake), the hole cut out on the right is for the proximity sensor (proximity sensor must be always uncovered to work)
For best touch experience ( Nano coated ) and display visibility: recommend Nillkin Amazing H+ Pro 0.2mm thick!

It might be by design but it is not a very good one. As a photographer I know that there are many reasons that you do not want to put an extra piece of glass over a camera lens if you can help it.
I suggest Nillkin for Mi Max 3
I ordered it from TradingShenzen
Its the smoothest and clearest Screen Protector I have ever seen
I order many glass from AliExpress, with border on top and bottom, are bad because remaining air inside.
Now I waiting for niklin glass more expensive but the best

today I received the tempered glass.
It has glue all over the surface, the camera is covered with glass.
After the installation there were some tiny bubbles left but I managed to push them out with my nail.
Before that, I had a similar tempered glass that had glue only at the edges.
Below you can see some side by side images for a comparison with the previous one, iMak is on the right side.

No this one has a large rectangular notch in the top cut out.
Other brands has individual holes cut out around the camera, sensors etc but nillkin has just one large rectangular hole around this whole area.
Another thing about coverage is that all screen protectors are a little too narrow.
You have to measure out the dead center so it gets placed inside the lcd area otherwise either left or right side will be outside of the screen protector.
Its very difficult to get this dead center.
Also the length is too short creating the next problem.
Plus the top and bottom edge of the screen are slightly rounded so you also have to place it dead center, use the front camera as a reference and place it just a little lower than the bottom edge of the camera.
Otherwise you will get an air bubble either on the top or the bottom edge of the screen protector because of the edge is rounded as I mentioned.
The left and right edge are also slightly rounded but this is not an issue because the screen protector is already too narrow so you don't have to think about this, instead focus on getting the glass on both sides inside the lcd edge.
Image example below shows a profile mockup of the vertical edges: (the rounded edge has a very small angle and is almost invisible..but the bubble is visible and very annoying to look at if you fail to center the screen protector vertically)
I did this with masking tape and a caliper measuring while the screen was on to see where the lcd panel ends horizontally on the left and right side.
Fitting the screen vertically was more of a trial and error because I had no points of reference to use because the screen is black and the edges are black too.
I had to toss three screen protectors trying to make it centered on all axises.
If you buy a tempered screen protector with individual holes for each sensor it is impossible to make a fully centered fit to avoid the air bubble on top of the screen.
This is because if you allow to place it dead center and eliminate the air bubble both on the top and bottom then the holes don't line up for the sensors.
They will be placed around 1 to 1.5mm to low.
Other devices includes plastic guides that you place ontop of the phone so you are sure that the screen protector drops on dead center both horizontally and vertically.
Example in the image below:
Hopefully a guide like this will be available in the future with corrected measurments for the sensor holes or a complete notch such as nillkin does because its very difficult to apply a screen protector on the Mi max 3.
I purchased my screen protectors very early after release so of course it might allow for some early revisions with errors etc that are solved as time goes

CP+ does look better overall, but camera hole cutouts collect more dust and grime compared to the open notch on the Amazing H+. Also harder to clean within said hole cutouts.
Amazing H+ has slight warping on the edges because of the Max 3 curved glass edges.
For looks, go for CP+.
For practicality, go for Amazing H+

I didn't realise there two different versions so thanks for the info. I've only had the Amazing H, I might give the CP+ a try next time round.

Need Nilkin 3D CP+ Max, SP Review.

Hey guys I'm planning to buy the Nilkin 3D CP+ screen protector for my OnePlus 6 and I am hoping those of you who are already using it will share your experience with me.
My first concern is regarding the black borders on the sides, how much screen area do they eat up? Also does the border on the notch, make it look thicker?
The official TG glass from OnePlus is really overpriced in my country, so I'm really hoping the Nilkin one can be the next best alternative. Tia.
The main problem for me of the nillkin was that the glass is very thin. It broke when I was trying to separate a little bit from the screen to adjust it better.
It fits properly and yes, it takes a little bit of the screen with the borders, but not as much as other screen protectors.
In my opinion, and it's based on my experience, the most balanced is the orzly. It's the most similar to the Oneplus official one of those that I've tried.
I've had this one but it broke on the sides. The edges float above the glass because the adhesive only covers the screen. Because the glass is thin these edges beak quite easily. I currently have the normal tempered glass H (not the h+) this glas doesn't cover the edges, but there are no black borders that cover any part of the display. I've had I'd on for about 3 months know and I'm really pleased with it. No bubble's no cracks and quite good oleophobic coating. Also because this one is thicker than the h+ pro it doesn't break as easily. I have it alligned perfectly, maybe it makes a difference.
I have one of these that I bought through amazon through a Nillkin page. the black boarder definitely covers a bit of the screen. a bit of the notch boarder covers the screen. If you move it up so that there's no black from the notch border you'll cut off quite a few pixels off the bottom making it very hard to use gesture based controls. I had a problem with air bubbles, the ones near the top corners went away naturally, the 2 at the bottom 2 corners refuse to go away even after adjusting them and applying pressure for over 5 minutes. It's not a problem with the case as there's a very slim edge separating the glass from the case (Tudia 2 part case). Depending on how much you're spending on it I wouldn't recommend it, I paid $16CAD and I have buyers remorse I can't recommend this protector to anyone. There's no damage/cracks/halo effects after 2 weeks of usages, so that's a plus. I've ordered the dbrand prism screen protector, I'm hoping it'll be the same size minus the black borders.
The best one is Omron tempered glass. They came in a set of two. Nillkin hides some of the screen. Omron doesn't.
Thank you all for your response I won't buy the Nilkin glass since it breaks so easily. It's a shame OnePlus 6 has such a huge incompatibility with budget 5D/6D tempered glasses. Spending 18 quid on the official doesn't make any sense cause it too will break after a fall which can happen anytime.

I haven't seen these. The only Omron I've found make medical instruments.
Nillkin 3d CP Max is poor glass. It is to small for screen and cuts some screen part in up. I don't recommend this glass.
Yeah, but where can we find Omron glass for OP6?

Where to get this Omoton ? Could you post a photo of it on the phone?
Nillkin CP+Max Tempered Glass Review
Consider this my review of the Nillkin CP+Max Oneplus 6 Tempered Glass
Bought from Nillkin's Aliexpress official store.
Overall I am satisfied(I knew pretty much all of the problems listed below when i bought it).
Keep in mind when viewing the photos I have installed the glass as much to the top as the case lets me(Practically the glass and the case touch at the top.Maybe if I had another case I wouldn't have even more of the notch cutting in, but that is another story)
Pros:
- Very nice quality glass with excellent touch feeling.Perfect oleophobic coating compared to 1-3$ tempered glasses. Worth the extra dollars for this reason only!
- Fits with rhinoshield crashguard case(you have to install the glass while wearing the crashguard case and not the one oneplus provides!)
- Edge to edge cover(as much as it can be, as the sides of the phone have a small curve)
Cons:
- The black borders around the edge are too thick on every side. This results to having about 0.5 to 1mm of screen pixels covered at all times, which is especially visible in the notch area, which cuts even more inside the screen. Also visible on the bootloader screen where text starts from the very left of the screen and half the first letter is hidden. While in normal app use you never see text that far to the side to make it a huge problem,it some times shows in 21:9 videos on youtube fullscreen. It seems this is a problem every tempered glass with black borders has. Not only Nillkin's!
- A portion around the edges, beneath the black border doesn't have adhesive. (I think this is because the phone's glass starts to curve there making it impossible for adhesive to stick,so they don't put adhesive right there)
Maybe Nillkin should make the borders thinner in the future and also have them in a lower layer of the glass,so it doesn't look like a window.
