Sent a message to http://www.mugenpowerbatteries.com/

Anyway just got this reply:

The Diamond's current battery capacity is only 900mah. If we can get one for 2400mah then it would be almost triple the current capacity.
That would be my no. 1 must buy assessory for the Diamond.

That's definitly interesting news.

With the price of getting a diamond wich is double in thickness. Then you can wait for the Raphael!
All new batteries with a higher capacity will be thicker than the original one, at least if they have a seriously higher capacity.

PDAShop got soon the 1100 mAh version, with same sizes. So no other cover and 22% extra power .

NEW! Extended Battery for HTC Touch Diamond!! Type: BP E270

Just google for it:
"BP E270"htc
I dont know yet how many mah the battery has. But i know it is the extended battery for this phone.
Dutch people:
Google for:
"BP E270"nl
Its packed with a back cover because the battery its fatter
I expect that the new one will be a 1340 mAh version! Same like the MDA Vario IV, but that's still not certain.
1340mAh
The HTC Touch Diamond official battery is at present the BA S270 with 900mAh and the BP E270 battery is of the HTC Touch Pro (aka. Raphael) and has 1340mAh.
Since the two devices have the same dimensions barring the thickness the BP E270 is also compatible with the Diamond, but it will require what's named a 'blister' battery cover - which is basically adds a little more depth to the phone.
Cannot wait myself for an extended battery as I use my Diamond like a power-hog at the moment.

Maybe this one: HTC Touch Extended Life Battery - 1500 mAh is available, but I'm not sure it works on the Diamond but it's a battery for the Touch so i think it is possible...

I can only see a .nl site, and nothing in english... lol any chance of u posing a link (that link to a preorder site for a 2200mah, just looks full of crap... the discription and pic are stupid, and they even advertise expandable memory for Diamond on that site lol, dont trust that site with a preorder imo)

New 1000 mAh standard size battery from Mugen

Touch Diamond will be equiped with 1000 mAh battery without sacrificing the shape, size and impression of using extended battery.
That's great, although the capacity isn't that much higher than the original....
Release date?
100 ???
will that really make a real diffrance????
The Mugen webpage tells release date is end of August. There might have not much difference between the OEM 900 mAh with this 1000 mAh, but it is good that Mugen can enhance the battery by this 100 mAh. User can still choose to buy OEM extended battery which has 440 mAh more but has to use another cover with extended size.
you guys say its not that much - but its an 11% increase! which if your battery lasts 24 hours now - this new one will be an extra 2 and a half hours - its up to you guys if its worth it - im considering it!

I'm not too impressed with the lifetime of the Mugen batteries. I've had two in different PDA's and I've experienced short lifetimes.
not as short as the life in my diamond battery!
Seidio say they will have an OEM sized extended battery that will be more along the lines of 1100mah.. That's the one I'm waiting for.

I wonder of its lifetime - some of my rechargable 2500 mAh last shorter than those of 2000 mAh running the exact same device after a few usages. Let's hear the experience once you have tried it.
No probs - if they ever release it... They said end of July, so I guess we can expect it any day now.

Well, there is an OEM sized battery on Siedos site now, but it is only 1000 mAh.
In europe the diamond have a 900mAH so 1000mAH doesn't give more. Perhaps 1 or 2 hours in stand by ?

I know - what a shame....
It's a shame the promised capacity hasn't appeared, but the 11% increase will certainly help me. With the original to carry as a spare I doubt I'll have to change often, but atleast I'll have the option.
As far as the HTC delay is concerned, I have a feeling they may surprise us, with an original sized extended capacity. Their theme is 'innovation' afteral, and there have been some interesting developments in Lion batteries recently. They have the punch to make investments in the right place. I'm holding out hope anyway lol.
I found a 1050mAh battery

There is one little issue with these kind of batteries, they may catch fire if not properly designed and for the phone. I the east you get batteries rated from A to AAA depending on how good they are and the risk. It doesn't happen often but make sure your phone is ventilated (not put on a carpet or covered) while recharging over night
Do you believe what capacity they print on that battery??? I wouldn't unless someone test it. I used to work with Cadex battery analyzer and believe me, there are so many lies on batteries even brand new ones as GP, Energizer, etc. Consider buying it...

And the stylus holder is a positive point ( Imiss it a lot!!!)
I'm happy with my new 2 Mugen 1300mAh + 1 Toshiba 1000 mAh, but the main advantage of having all the capacity together in a single battery comes from the silly Toshiba's policy of leaving us without USB/WIFI/Camera when battery is under 20%

Look at the air under that battery cover, can you imagine, if they used Lithium Polymer instead, and filled all that space for the purpose of being a battery how high the capacity could be

1300 Mugen seems to put pressure on the screen???
I got the replacement battery from Mugen that kinda fits the current back of the phone. But it seems to PUT undo pressure on the screen from behind that I fear over time will damage the screen (rainbow effect). It is thicker than the old battery and I noticed a rainbow effect right over where the battery is located so I took it out right away.
Reading other forums on the rainbow effect, I think the back cover needs to be slightly larger to accommodate even the 1300 mugen or I think it will damage the screen.
Prior to inserting the battery I never had any rainbow swipe effect and since removing it I have not had any. I was very disappointed about this and would love to have the extra power.

I have two 1300mAh Mugen since December, and it's all OK. It's true that this battery is a bit higher than de original, but this extra pressure goes to the thin plastic cover, not to the screen. The only problem is that closing the corver (always not easy in this device) becomes even more difficult.
Best regards

Ditto.
Mine certainly doesn't put any pressure on the screen.

[Q] 1600mah battery?

UK company BMC Digital claims to have a 1600mah battery for the Desire HD... for just 6.50 UKP. That can't be right, surely?
They also have a 1230mAh battery for 16.95 UKP, which seems more believable.
Sorry that I can't post the links yet, as I'm a new user.
The typical capacity of a battery is one thing but what they print on the label is another thing! I think, it's impossible to improve the original battery 1230 mAh about 370 mAh to 1600 mAh and sell it for less than the half price.

I don't think so, the battery have to be relatively the same size as the original battery, especially when the battery cover is used as antenna too.
try here for batteries - including extended one...
here is the link...
go to mugen-power-batteries dot com and then to the htc-desire section...
There is only one in the list.
its 1300mAh for 45$.
Very expensive and not very usefull.
Only 70mAh more -.-
So I used the one that was delivered for a couple of days, and let me tell you it is utter 'DOG-EGG' it doesn't last anywhere near as long as the original, but £6.50 for a spare ain't half bad.

[Q] Will the sensation get an extended battery released?

Does anyone know if HTC will release an extended battery with replacement back cover for the sensation? Or perhaps something produced by another company like Mugen or Seindo? I have the US HD2, which works fantastic in the UK on Vodafone by the way, and I have the extended battery for it and in my opinion makes all the difference. I've had a good look online, htc, ebay, etc but no success.
Most probably
If you have a look around at almost any of the older models they have extended batteries available. The Sensation has only just been released in UK and is being rolled out worldwide. Wait until china gets their hands on it (June 8th) I believe and then wait for the HTC "alternatives" to be released
The antenna is in the back case so i doubt it.
Yeah I was thinking the same when I read about the antenna being in the back casing.
We never saw a extended battery on the DHD due to how the back was. The HD2 had a nice one which had a kick stand built in.
I would like to see one for the Sensation but that might well be difficult to manufacture and probably would be expensive too because they are putting components like the antenna in the casing.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Here you'll find one: http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/htc/htc-sensation.html

Jan from Mugen. I can't add the links that were signed at the end of the email because I don't have up to 8 posts..or sth like that is what the error message said...*shrugs*
I sent them an email on Friday, I believe and they replied yesterday.
Just get a Anker or CHICHITEC 1900 MAH battery, my CHICHITEC lasts more than a day.
Further Update:-( I asked about the possible capacity and if there might be a protective case that will work with the phone after extended battery is inserted).
Dear [....],
Thank you for your email!
The larger size should be over 3000mAh, I don't think we will work on the protective case for this model, I need to ask our marketing team!
Because our holster sales not really good, so we only have 3 models for the holster at the moment!
Please contact me if you need any additional info.
