It's not working on Tornado... :/

Anyone know if this'll work on the MotoQ? (original CDMA Sprint, not Q9, etc)

has anyone tried this on a Vodafone VDA GPS (aka Toshiba Portege G710)?
2 Gigs are just not enough.

The attached driver just works fine for high capacity SD cards (SDHC) on the VDA GPS.
I run a 8 GB card in it.

Hi
can someone tell me if there is no risk to use this file on a G710 ?
I'm not what we can call a specialist ...The last time I used such a file , My Wm6 crashed ...my phone couldn't boot ...it was blocked on Toshiba logo...
luckily my phone was still under warranty
Thanks

pitzo123,
the VDA GPS is identical to the Toshiba G710 and YES, the driver 100% works fine. Try it out and enjoy.

thanks a lot tuo_kaerf .... works very fine on my Toshiba portege g710 with a kingston microsd sdhc 4 go and 8 go

The driver (from post #8) works on Toshiba G710.
But I see only 4GB of my 8GB card (Transcend microSDHC 8GB Class 6) (not only in SystemInfo, also in File-Explorer files are missing... )
Does anyone have a solution for this?

You either have wrongly installed the SDHC driver or your card is broken.
Have you tried reading a different card?

I guess I now understood you problem correctly!
This is just a visual thing, because the application most likely cannot handle large SDHC cards! This does NOT mean, you cannot copy, move or access the card in any way. It works and you also can put data on the card, although the applications cannot properly show the disk usage.
Don't worry about that!
This is the same thing with quite any other device on the market, being developed about 2-3 years ago, which the G710 is.
I double-checked my System-Info and with me, it also only shows a 4 GB card (addressable of about 3.6 GB), which in return is used by 83%.
This is wrong information, because the card actually is a 8GB, just wrongly displayed. I filled the card until 12 MB was being left and - suprise, surprise - I can access it as 8 GB card with full content
So, as I said above: "Don't worry, be happy".

Tried installing the Kahuna SDHC Support Kit for windows mobile (HTC s620) and it disabled my wireless. Uninstalled it and wireless could be enabled again.
Any thoughts on this ?

Why haven't you installed the given proper SDHC driver from my linklist above, but a strange one? Try my link instead and it works wonderfully...

URGENT HELP: XDA II and 1GB SD card problem

Dear All,
I recently bought a Sandisc 1GB SD Card for the XDA II (Himalaya) and ever since then, (in a span of about 2 weeks); my phone had to be hard reset 6 times! Is there anyway to prevent this or any solution to this problem? I have been using a 128MB card for nearly 1.7 years in the XDA and never had even one hard reset but suddenly after changing cards, I have had this problem. Would greatly appreciate any solution/idea/suggestion. Thank you.
Cheers, Vikas.
mate, xdaII can only accomodate 512 MB of storage card. thats all i know.

I don't think it's really accurate what ur saying,I have a 1GB in my Himalaya MDAII for about 3 months now....and it's running more than perfect...
@vikasmal:I donno if the SD is the what's causing u those hard resets...but anyway, have u tried formatting it FAT not FAT32?
Try then let me know.....
RAGO
not very helpful, but i have been using a PNY 1GB SD card in my xda2 for over 6 months without a hitch, the only thing that has caused mine to require a hard reset is some programs, trick is to install a new program then see how it runs for a few days before installing any others.
might be worth trying a different make of SD card if you know anyone that is willing to lend you one. a few mates have used cheaper ones that have caused quite a few problems, not sure what though.
Hi, thanks for your reply Formatting this in FAT, how should I do that? With my XDAII on the USB cradle or with a card reader?
Sorry for the silly question but am a little lost on this.
Thanks.
Vikas.

Thanks but the 1GB seems to work fine for a few days and then hard reset. Then ok for a few days and again hard reset.

Thanks Macca,
Maybe its the brand but thought Sandisk was a good one :-(
Haven't installed any new programmes other than the ones I was already using on my 128MB card. So that is why am quite puzzled.

Hi,
I've been using a 1gig Sandisk Card for about 6 months & have never had to do a hard reset (unless taking the battery out too swap sims).
I didn't have to format it or anything, just got it out of the packet & put it in.
not much use to your problem but it may rule out the card??
Thanks Floody,
Appreciate it. Have done a format in FAT and NOT FAT32 for the Sandisk card and for the last three days, no hard reset. Hope it works this time around. Knock Wood
Cheers, Vikas.

[Q] usb memory card reader ?

Hi!
i'm a photographer and would be please to directly read my photos on the touchpad with and usb memory card reader ... any project seen on that ?
Fred
I would also like to know about this.
SENT FROM MY DINC2 RUNNING CM7 overclocked to 1.6ghz
I'm also a photographer so this would be very useful for me. It'd be great to be able to backup an SD to the Touchopad when on location.
The other option I'm considering is an Eye-Fi SD card or two so I can wirelessly transfer images. It should work.

i don't think so :/ you nned a client on the touchpad to handle the data flow

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll wait a while to see if it can be done before investing in an Eye-Fi card.
It actually might be possible there is a thread on it at precentral

It's definitely possible, people are doing it.
It just requires several cables (one an OTG), an AC-powered USB hub and your time. I'd rather be able to just plug in one cable/device.
We have the port, just need the OS to use it correctly. As I understand it, USB is USB - data-wise. Maybe one of the talented PreWare devs can write a patch we can load eventually.

Interesting... have you same SD card as me? If yes, can you test it with A1 SD Bench and tell if it improves the speed?

Same card here and same read and write speeds. Tested it in my computer and it is getting full speed like it should so its not the cards fault.
