[ROM][WWE] Ready-to-Cook Vanille Elf base ROM (SYS & OEM) 2.20.707.1B [ONLINE] - Touch GSM ROM Development

I share my base so that our Cook could have easier life (I hope).
This is not a ready-for-flashing product. You will still have to Cook and BuildOS. Don't download if you have no idea what to do with cooking.
This is Vanille ROM (SYS & OS) based on 2.20.707.1B WWE. Both files and Registry are trimmed.
I use this base to cook my own ROM and everything looks good. I am appreciated if you could trim down the size further.
What are removed (Removed items are included in zips attached):
------------------
SYS
-Windows Update
-Internet Sharing
-Transcriber
-Windows Live
OEM
-Comm Manager
-Audio Manager
-Home Plugin
-Phone Skin <== experimental
-Task Manager (X button)
-MMS

Don't worry bro, I'm downloading it now and I will do some cooking 2nite.
Cheersss

kick to first page.. I wonder if ppl know what to do with this
Bascially when you put back Comm Manager, Audio Manager, MMS, Phone skin and Task manager, pack it into .NBH and flash it, it is a Vanilla ROM already.
I seperate each part just for the sake of easier replacement of different modules.

I am trying to make a clean, trimmed down rom. I am sure I can learn something by reviewing your base here.
Thank you vm for sharing!

Hey guys... Exploring the keyboard oem package i've noticed that there are alot of language database files for other languages than the ones selectable in the rom.
Mayb we can edit the reg to make these languages also available?
I'm studying on it, but still no progress.

Good finding, I did not notice it.
Thou, I noticed there are a lot of lang files when I remove the Touchpad.
Sounds like I can remove even more files for keyboard layout as I don't need them

Sorry Mick, there's to much going on.
If this is from the 2.2 dopod rom my advice would be to leave HTChome exe's and Dll's in the Rom, as not everyone has this new updated Home Plugin yet.

Entertainment can be removed.
I think some of us have an option.xml file for this.
And Office.
I have them both at home.

These stuffs could be easier removed from the SYS. They are packed within seperate folders already. So no hard work is needed
Maybe I should seperate those stuffs in next version (if there is any) to make the ROM even easier for noobs.
Also it would be nice to integrate Rapi certificates.

Maybe I would just build a seperate package for this

Maybe i didn't use the right words.
What i wanted to say sort of is.
That you don't need to remove the actuall packages.
You split the whole rom up by adding option.xml files.
You set the needed folders to True and the unneeded folders to False.
Just check the option.xml i just attached for the entertainment folders.
Also are removed files from Oem folders brought into a new DSM file to prevent Missing files when extracting the rom.
And if WLM is removed do you add the removed Shortcuts to the WLM packages.
You know me i'm saying this to help, because if you want a good true vanilla it has to be perfect.
I've added some new packages to Elf Repository for use in kitchen.
HTCHome 2.1 plug in with Added Tab settings.
Updated Network Wizard SD and MM Package.
WWAN (if only for the option xml file, it's pretty useless to have anyway)
Multiple GlyphChace Settings Oem Packages.
All using Xtriny's new Build which does allow changing of Pagepool settings.
There's a memory fault in the pre 5.2.1933 version of 2.2 Rom.
At the moment i just started a new ROM and it's going to take weeks to finish it.
Luckely no ones waiting for a new ROM anymore because they are popping up left and right.
So i can take my time. I think it's time i take my responsibility and stop being a chef.
A lot is going wrong and i'm not talking about you.

Looks like we are making another "Pandora" style kitchen when we add option.xml to individual packages.
It is a good idea, but will consume lots of time. Let me see if I could do it

That's what i mean. But you don't need to do this alone.
I'm uploading every detail i can find.
So there's allready a lot of packages available.
After every change i make a selectable package.
And even when you re extract the rom you don't get missing files.
For instance when you remove files from OAMAPPS folder and rebuild the DSM contents. All the modules in folders won't be added and you still have missing files.
But if you then take the EXE's and DLL's out of the folder sand put them into OEMAPPS folder and then make Rebuild the DSM you won't have missing files.
Weird thing is that when you then extract that NBH file the OEMAPPS will then be extracted to SYS folder instead.
This shouldn't be a big problem as you have probaply seen in other kitchen's
Here's a Vanilla Based on 2.2 os 5.2.1933
You can extract the Rom and recook it.
4MB PP
It's 50.1 MB 62.63 Storage It's Nice and Neat.Everything not in it can be found in repository.

It's amazing.
It's almost 63 MB storage 59.39 free.
Memory free around 26.
no HTCHome wlm X button audio Manager and it's clean and recookable.
But i'm Pulling it so Xtriny can post it. It came from his base.
I just completely stripped it to 50.1 MB as close to the max as possible.

can this b used for cooking roms for elfin (128\256)? which kitchen do we use to cook this rom?

I'm not sure.
But it's an earlier Base then the vanilla version i posted up ahead.
But if you download the .nbh file and extract the os.nb then read the PP chaging tutorial in th cooking class kitchen you can check if it has the correct value.
If the value for pagepool is 20 it is for both elf and elfin.

hello guy´s
i am new here and i want to flash the vanilla2.20.707.1B on my elf
i´ve got ipl 3.10 and spl 3.07 on it . the problem is : every time i try to flash ( Executing HTC_Touch_WWE_ME_2.20.456.1B.exe ) it Goes through the bootloder to status bar , after holding on at 1 % the touch restarts to winmob.
Ahe Flash prog ( RUU ) is showing ERROR 260: Connection.
can someone plz help me i´ve searched all the fourums . after 4 -5 h of trying you are my last hope.
Greetz Foe

I´m not sure, but if your IPL / SPL is the patched version, it has overwrite protection, and the ROM you´re trying to flash is full, it contains all areas: IPL, SPL, ROM, Splash and Radio.
The way around is to extract the individual ROM components and rebuild the NBH file including only the ROM section, leaving IPL, SPL, Splash and Radio out. When you flash this one, IPL/SPL won´t be overwritten, so no error will pop.
Any kitchen around comes with all the tools you need for the procedure. If you don´t know how to do it, take a look at the forums, this subject is very well covered.
Hope this helps.

Do mp3 ringtones work since you removed Windows Media Player?
I have confirmed that the base rom does not play mp3 ringtones without wmplayer.exe. I've added this to the list of known issues in the second post.
Don't let this stop you though, as you can easily cook the Windows Media player back into the ROM.
A fixed base ROM is being uploaded now.
Cheers.
Windows Media Player added back and confirmed MP3 ringtones are working.
Congratulations for your ROM version
Many thanks for your effots...

Any other way to download this ROM other than rapidshare would be appreciated. I've tried for 4 hours, all of the transfer stopped midway.

I cannot seem to be able to successfully dump your ROM with Kaiser Kitchen in order to rebuild it... I am not able to get past the XIP section (with errors in both the .3 version of the Kitchen and the new script posted on Page 4 of the Kitchen).
Is there anything weird about it?
Better yet, can you post the OEM/SYS/ROM folders of your ROM like we see in the other kitchens?
Thanks buddy. Been building my ROMs this whole morning.
Only one thing to note is that even though you added in Windows Media Player, the shortcut for it does not show up in Programs menu.
Is there any fix?
Thanks for your work again
EDIT: I found the answer: dont copy the windows media player OEM.

I accidentally copied the regkey folder value from the installer instead of the app.
If you want a quick fix, please edit the .RGU file and change the line that reads [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HTC] to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Microsoft\Today\Items\MusicPlayerToday].
I'll upload a fixed version later.

Whoops, sorry. I just realized the reason why duplicate files are PITA is because you're all using the old BuildOS.exe.
I'll upload another revision to the ROM Kitchen, which includes the latest BuildOS+PackageTools.exe from Bepe/Ervius, with a small tutorial.
Duplicate files will no longer be PITA See this post for the Rom Kitchen update.
Alex:
Great ROM base, excellently organized and easy to use in the Kaiser Kitchen. I especially thank you for leaving the "removed" OEM pieces in as packages to be re-cooked into a ROM if desired.
I really can't wait until you issue the same for the ATT 1.60 ROM....any ETA in sight?
Thanks..

[31-Dec-2007]XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 Cooking Pack

XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 Cooking Pack
Build your own flavor of XM6r5
By popular demand, I'm releasing the XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 (XM6r5) Cooking Pack. Basically, this is just a the ROM / SYS / OEM folders that I used to build XM6r4. Those so inclined, can download this and build their own flavor of XM6r5 and customize it to their heart's content. If you are looking for the already cooked XM6r5 then go to this thread.
NOTE: This is NOT a Kitchen, but is "guts" of the kitchen. I personally used anichillus' HyperCore Kitchen to build XM6r5, and recommend this kitchen. But since most all of the Wizard kitchens I've seen are almost all alike, these folders will probably work in the majority with only minor changes.
How to Use the Cooking Pack
First you need to download a kitchen and install it per the instructions for that kitchen. NOTE: This thread is NOT for supporting kitchens, and is NOT for general questions on cooking. It will be for the usage of this Kitchen pack.
After you get your kitchen setup, then download the XM6r5 Cooking Pack. Unzip the file and place the ROM, SYS, and OEM folders under the kitchen directory where it belongs (for HyperCore, these folders will go under the Build folder).
At this point you are basically ready to cook.
Where are the options.xml files???
In XM6r5, I only have options.xml files in the OEM packages that are optional between the Full and the Lite versions of XM6r5. By doing it this way, I was easily able to build a full version, then go back and build a Lite version but just unchecking everything. For me, rather than having a BuildOS that is loaded with lots of options, I personally prefer to have an OEM directory which (in most cases) is what is going into the rom, and another directory for things that won't go into the rom (OEM-Hold or somesuch. Call it what you want). Then all I do is take OEM packages I don't want in the ROM from the OEM folder and move them to the OEM-Hold folder. By doing this, they won't be part of the rom (and you don't have to deal with checking and unchecking things in BuildOS). If you don't like this style, then feel free to create options.xml files for each of the OEM packages and you can then check and uncheck to your heart's content.
If you want to add things to the rom, you'll need to create the OEM packages and drop those in the OEM folder. But thats beyond the scope of this thread. Please see Cooking and Kitchen threads on how to build packages.
Extras Folder
Also included in this Cooking Pack is an Extras folder. In here I've placed the OEM package for SuperDoku, and I've placed the NETCF 2.0 SP2 folder. To build SuperDoku into your rom, just drop that folder into the OEM folder. To build with NETCF 2.0 SP2 instead of the 3.5 thats in XM6r5, first copy the NETCF folder out of the SYS folder and put it in the Extras folder (rename it to NETCF3.5 or something). Then copy the NETCF folder in the Extras area into the SYS folder. NOTE: The only reason to do this is if you have an app that won't work with NETCF 3.5 (Pocket eSword is one example). But since NETCF 3.5 is the direction Microsoft is going, for future compatibility you should stick with 3.5 in most cases.
Splash Screens
Attached to this post are the BMP and PNG files used for the splash screens on XM6r5. While the graphics are not mine originally (I've found them here in the forums but asked permission for their use) some modifications are by me. If you are using HyperCore, there are tools for building splash screens in that kitchen.
NOTE: For me, the first splash screen (the so called HTC Logo, which I used the Cylon image for) tends to be the trickiest one. If the file size and complexity of the graphic isn't just right, the screen will not show up properly. If you are trying to build your own htc logo splash screen and having problems, use a graphic editor to convert it from BMP to GIF. Then close the image completely (important) and then reopen it, and then convert the GIF back to BMP. This will sometimes work. If not, then convert the image to a jpg and increase the compression level to be below 50% (the image will start to get grainy and not look as good so you'll have to play around with this). Then close the image and then reopen the jpg then convert it back to a BMP and try again.
Final Notes
This is an exact copy of the folders I used in building XM6r5. I have not upgraded or changed anything (so the same bugs and features in the built version will be in this cooking pack). A lot of the pieces originated from mattk_r and theloon's kitchen work for the 318 ROM. Then I've made changes to those bases to create the XM6 series. Most OEM folders found in theloon's kitchen will probably work with this cooking pack (but no guarantees).

Your ROMS are always great, but there are usually a few things I don't use so I want to try taking them out.
THanks again.
Thanks a lot Mfrazz i rely on you enough to trust you have a good base.
I've been so busy Working on the ELF thread i never got to cook my own Wizard Ro.
This way you are saving me a lot of headaches finding a nice Base.
Only important thing is that AD2P is working, but i'll know that in ten minutes instead of reading your whole ROM thread.
Cheerz.
Download link is not working. I know, link can't be active forever, and I shouldn't be so slow and conservative (still on XM6r2). Can you upload this file somewhere else or mailed to me?
Thanks,
Another one - download link not working for me either; please reupload!!
Thanks...
I need this
The download link isn't working. Can anyone re-upload or send me it? Thanks!
I'll try to look for backups of this and see about uploading it to a new location... Didn't realize the links had died. Sorry about that.
[EDIT] I found the file in my backups. I'm uploading to a couple of file sharing services now. Will update the first post and put a reply in here when its complete.
Uploaded the original file to 3 new locations. First post has been updated. Please note: This is the original cooking pack. I have not updated anything in it (and don't plan on updating it... Sorry). But I hope this helps those that have asked for this to be reuploaded...

SYS PORTING GUIDE
Special thanks goes to Monsterfly for helpful guidance on porting SYS to a new build
Inventory:
Tools you will need for porting the SYS
BuildOS+Package Tool by Ervius
G’Reloc Tool by Misar
Procedure:
Use BuildOS+Package tool to dump ORIGINAL ROM and build packages
Copy G'Reloc to the folder where you have original SYS folder
Run it and write down numbers under slot 0, slot 1 and size of rom
Use BuildOS+Package tool again to dump DONOR ROM and build packages
Replace your original SYS folder with Donor's SYS
Run G'Reloc again
Notice that this time numbers under slot 0, slot 1 and size of rom may be different
Just replace them with numbers you got in the firt step
Click »Doit!« and wait till it shows "Done" in the status bar
Use the OEM folder in which you have added ingredients and the XIP fodler that you ported
Info: In some cases you will need to copy WinCENLS_WWE folder to SYS folder (if not present in Donor's SYS) from your original ElfIn SYS otherwise your device will not boot
Build OS in the kitchen of your choice and flash the new build ROM to your device and HAPPY COOKING

Tools you will need for porting the XIP
BuildOS+Package Tool by Ervius
XIPPort Tool by Bepe
M’Reloc Tool by Misar
Procedure:
To make life more simple, I am attaching the XIP.bin extracted from Kaiser 19209 build ROM by Ervius. Dump the XIP.bin file with XIPPort tool and choose to make packages. Download from here (Rapidshare Folder)
In the OUT folder, ignore or delete all the text files (.txt) These files are created by XIPPort tool only to know the physical addresses and are not required for porting
In files and modules folders, delete all folders except “MSXIPKernel” and “MSXIPKernelTLK” The modules and files from these folders are the only items which are to be ported to make a new build. DO NOT copy or replace any files and modules from OEMXIPKernel, as these are device specific
Now open the BuildOS+Package tool and on packaging page click open with option to choose dump folder. Select your original ElfIn XIP folder (OS 19199) and on right you will see the XIP in its directory structure. Don’t click on build packages (you can’t do it anyways, as package.sof file is not present in the XIP folder) Instead click on “OEMXIPKernel” and then right click to select export package. Choose to save on different location, like your desktop. This is only temporary requirement, just to be on safe side that you still don’t replace any files or modules seen in that folder
Now you copy and replace the files and modules seen in the “MSXIPKernel” and “MSXIPKernelTLK” from the new XIP in your original XIP folder, you need to copy and replace only those items found in your original folders, do not add anything new. Now compare each and every .rgu file from your new XIP with your original XIP and check if they are similar (NOT the .rgu files in “OEMXIPKernel”)
After all the files and modules are replaced and .rgu files checked, run the M’Reloc tool and check the modules addresses from your original XIP with your new XIP (Don’t do anything to the modules located in “OEMXIPKernel”) The addresses have to be similar to your original modules from your original “MSXIPKernel” and “MSXIPKernelTLK” folders
Changing of addresses through M’Reloc is not required if you are using the BuildOS+Package tool for cooking ROMs as Ervius has already included the address relocation system into his tool with BuildXIP
In a nutshell you need to follow the following copying & replacement structure and everything will work:
Original XIP (19199): OEMXIPKernel
Donor XIP (19209): MSXIPKernel and MSXIPKernelTLK
Replace this new XIP folder in ROM in Bepe's WM6.1 Elfin kitchen and cook to get 19209 Build XIP, HAPPY COOKING
I have managed to put together a clean Base WM6.1 ROM for Elfin (Touch XL - 128/256) with almost everything removed except the most essential system packages
Please take note, this is a base rom for cooking and not to be directly flashed on the device as it may be unusable. You need to populate the ROM with your choice of packages and the essentials to bring it up to the 50MB limit for making it usable
Link to download the dumped Removed packages: Here

You really came in the right time! I'm about to remove all the unnecessary apps inside Elfin original ROM and now you came with WM6.1
You really save my time, many thanks to you!

@JohnQ.. this is not an upgrade to swiftblade's or cloudyfa's wonderful roms but just a clean base rom for everyone to cook have more personalised options
Hi Ababrekar,
Yeah, but how I supposed to populate the SYS and OEM folder? Or to be precised, how should I continue from your OS.nb file?
Cheers,

you need to populate the rom by adding your choice of packages. the essentials out the removed list would be phone dialer, commanager, bluetooth, netcf, audio manager. also you need to add files so the final cooked os.nb file is above 50mb limit

i was answering his questions coz no question should go unanswered in my thread
I think it would be a good idea to post which kitchen you advice to cook the nb in.
I was wondering if there is a WM 6.1 Rom with nothing extra added. Just like an original HTC ROM? Like with no accessories folder, or HTC Action screen etc. I really don't like any of that stuff. I really only wanted WM 6.1 for the threaded sms.
Thanks in advance

as i said, this is a bare naked base rom with all the packages removed for maximum user customisation. the packages removed are listed in my first post here

good suggestion, like always brother i have updated the first post at the last line guiding to bepe's kitchen for cooking the nb file
(although i need bepe's or your guidance on how to get the exact same contents of his ROM folder from my ROM which can help everyone in achieving more customisation)
Well i've been working a month on SuperCore now but it now contains Packages for almost everything you have removed.
Looked up most of the registry settings for removed items to.
Generated new .dsm files and made option.xml for each.
And i still need to make registry keys to make removed controlpanel items work from SD.
So now i can wait another month before uploading new SuperProCore.
Now if somone could tell me how to make a os.nb.payload for ELF only with 4MB pp poeple would really be happy.

even i'm looking for a way to get the exact contents of ROM folder what Bepe has in his kitchen for ElfIn. It contains XIP with a lot of other files. I wonder if having the os.nb.payload from my own rom would help rather than using bepe's file still waiting for a guidance
i am attaching the default.hv & user.hv files with the reg entries deleted as per the removed packages list. see if you can check and comment on it, it will be great
eagerly waiting for SuProCore
Most of the keys are double ussually.
So you'll find the same keys also in SYS and OEm .rgu files as in hives files.

Naah you really don't need to.
Those left behind registry settings ussually don't do any harm without the files present.

[Sept 24, 2008] DK's Kitchen v1 WM6.1, CE OS 5.2.20748 and 5.2.20755

I think _Alex_ was the last to offer a kitchen and I think it's about time we had a new one. Everyone has their own needs and I know no ROM is perfect so here's my attempt to satisfy everyone.
I don't know if I'm going to have the time to answer everyone's questions and to help resolve all issues so I have to ask the community to please help out when you guys can.
Next, on with the thanks and I know I'm going to leave some people out so I apologize in advance. So thanks to these users for the tools and support we use to customize our phones:
-- kyphur, bepe, jerplea, jscepi, cmonex, alltheway, p1tater...
And to these people for helping me test and support my roms:
-- hang.tuah, dani31, -888-, idj1975, ecltech, kmfm$, rkrasny...
Here's what's included in the link:
OEM-3.29: my cleaned up OEM folder based off of 3.29 Dopod ROM
OEM-Packages: my packages created with help from XDA (see attachment for list)
ROM-20748: ported XIP from jerplea, OS.NB edited to show 20748
SYS-20748: ported SYS from jerplea, has 20212 components
SYS-Extras: entertainment (solitaire, bubble breaker), office, onenote, windowslive
And without further ado here's what you need to do:
1. Extract Kitchen.rar to the root of your drive (i.e. c:\ or d:\)
2. Extract OEM-3.29, ROM-20755, SYS-20755 to where you extracted Kitchen.rar
3. Copy packages you want from OEM-Packages to OEM folder
4. Copy packages you want from SYS-Extras to SYS folder
5. Cook and flash, see attached DK's Instructions doc if you need more help
NOTE: The contents of "OEM\OEMXIPKernel" are REQUIRED for cooking if you want your rom to boot
To get 2DManila working you will want to include from OEM-Packages the following:
-- 2DManila, Album, AudioBooster, AudioManager, CommManager, ConcurrenceMgr, VerionInfo, YouTube, Camera, Dshow, (me thinks that's everything)...You also need GoogleMaps.cab and OperaMobile (not included, search Dev&Hack for current version)
My Supa-Clean ROM always have the following:
-- ConcurrenceMgr, OutlookEnhancement, PictureEnhancement, RingtonePlugin, VersionInfo, StartupAnimationEngine, SymbolPad, DShow and mHub

I aim to please!
akadonny,
Thanks for sharing. Haven't done this in a very long time so maybe I'll give it go.
I downloaded your full 99mb Kitchen, and everything extracts fine. I've cooked up several ROMs so far, so I have a decent understanding of the process.
I apologize if this question has a simple answer, but I am having no luck, so here goes:
I want to use your 20748 build (you mentioned that 20753 has issues with SMS Threading) to update my NATF ROM series. Due to extensive customization I have done to my OEM folder, I would like to keep it as it, and so I extracted your ROM and SYS archives into my existing Kitchen folder. Now this is where it gets complicated...
I have tried using you Kitchen and Alex's Kitchen, both produce different results, and neither seem to work.
Using your Kitchen, the ROM appears to build fine, but OS.nb is nowhere to be found when HTC ROM Tool launches.
If I use Alex's Kitchen with BuildOS 2.7, then I get an error that it cannot find the ROM folder, but after clicking OK, everything builds as normal. However, after flashing the new ROM, my Tilt sits at the initial splash with R G D and will not go any further.
If I update the BuildOS in Alex's Kitchen to 4.3, everything builds correct and the ROM flashes OK, but UC does not run, File Explorer has an AT&T icon for some reason, and Manilla does not work.
--Ultimately, here is my question--
I want to keep the customizations that I have made to both AT&T Official 6.1 ROM (3.57) and HTC's Official WWE (3.28), but I want to use a newer OS build.
Is there a very special/exact combination of things I need to do in order to achieve this?
Thank you for absolutely any insight you can provide.
@NATF- have you tried mbarvian's Kitchen? I have been using his for awhile now trying to get a decent fully stripped rom....It's pretty decent.
@akadonny- sorry for me to tell him it. I will try yours out too...thanks again for your kitchen. Great if added to Wiki...

I tried this one also...
I must be doing something wrong since these kitchen's can't all be incompatible with the 20xxx builds (can they?), but I can't seem to figure it out.
notatreofan,
You should be able to combine your OEM with any ROM and/or SYS. If you run through the kitchen I provided you will need to look for os-new.nb as that is the file that is created. I may be wrong, but I think you need Windows Script 5.6 or something like that. Also, the kitchen needs to be run from the root of a drive so the folder structure looks something like:
C:\Kitchen\OEM
C:\Kitchen\ROM
C:\Kitchen\SYS
After you run !COOK.cmd and it finishes you will have a os-new.nb in your C:\Kitchen folder. Sorry if I'm not understanding correctly. I hope this solves your issue.
All - I removed the 20753 ROM and SYS and added 20755 ROM and SYS

Thank you for your answer. I could swear this is what I was doing, but I've tried so many things that I cannot remember... I'm going to try this method (again?) now, and I'll report back.
i have the same problem
i put your kitchen d:\Kitchen
after inside there the FOLDER sys and rom from 20755 and oem from 3.29
i push the cook
flash the new rom
and after splash screen with R,G,D no respond
My problem continues also.
I can cook successfully if I use the included OEM folders, but mine still causes a freeze at boot.
Plus my packages don't cook in properly using your Kitchen either. I put all of my packages in the OEM folder like your instructions say, and I can see BuildOS processing them, but I know that they're not being integrated because the resulting RUU_signed.nbh file is 28MB too small.
I try now the older 20748
and all working grate
in ABOUT screen have the new number of OS and Build
ACADONY you must test the 20755 again
something going wrong with it
also i can inclunding package with you rom
and your package don't working with alex kitchen

I am having the same problem at NATF....any ideas????
No preblems at all with 20748... about cooking...
The one big problem at this moment is that I don't get connection trough my provider/operator.
Through ActiveSync and wifi, programs like PIE and RSS Hub works but not via G, E, 3G or H.
It has connection, I mean G, E, 3G or H are visible (depends area wich one) and there is coming an another smaller icon of the four icons but no connection with an error... ;(

the 20748 is only one who working.. but activesync running on backround
20755 stack on splash screen
20753 when flash it start the boot loader screen and say something for error in core try again
For those getting stuck at the bootloader with 20755. Check to make sure that wince.nls is either in the ROM\XIP folder or as a package in SYS. This is a known problem with ROM's that hang at the splash screen. This may not be the case here, but it wouldn't hurt to check. I'm downloading 20755 now. I'll see what I can do.

[WM Kitchen] Wizard Kitchen

This is a kitchen based on Cracing's CRBuilder2 that I have been using for some time now.
Many thanks to him, S.V.I and the many others that have made this kitchen possible.
This is not a visual kitchen, I have not managed to do that. Instead it is a drag and drop kitchen. You create you ROM batch and then drop it into the OVEN to cook.
Please avoid spaces in file name, it will help avoid problems that may arise.
The ROM batch folder arrangement is that of platformrebuilder.
Code:
_ROM_Batch
EXT
Wizard
Extended Packages
OEM
OEM Packages
ROM
XIP
MSXIPKernel
MSXIPKernelLTK
OEMXIPKERNEL
SYS
SYS Packages
I put the _ in front of my ROM_Batch folders to find them easier.
I have as many error checks as I can think of, but they may not catch everything. Since I drag and drop pieces in and out of my ROM batch, I sometimes drop them in the wrong place. Most of these errors should get caught. This saves having to go through the cooking process to find you have a module in another module's folder.
I also have a Configurator option in my kitchen. This will merge all config.txt files in you ROM batch into one file. This is useful if you are using AutoRun, but have some packages from a RunCC version ROM. You will want to remove any CFG: lines to avoid running a config.txt twice. Also, this is how I do something similar to add2config.txt I have seen in other kitchens. For example, if you create an EXT package that has a config.txt file with some commands you want to add to the main config.txt like EXEC:\windows\myprogram.exe these lines will get added to the new Config.txt. Configurator also adds and CAB files you do not already have listed in the Config.txt files.
Here it is Wizard_Kitchen.7z
It includes Cracing's CR96 Touch HD ROM batch he recently posted.
If you drag and drop the Extended_ROM folder into the OVEN you can build an Extended ROM by itself.

Thanks! I'll have to switch over to this. I grabbed the RC6 kitchen, and I've started cooking. So far, I've just updated the Google Maps app, as a sanity test. It worked as expected so I'm ready to try something more wild. I'll DL this kitchen tonight, compare it with CRACING's kitchen for the same version, then see if I can figure out how to plug the RC6 parts into it. I know that you've done that already, but I want to learn.
I think your ExtROM magic is going to be helpful in increasing available internal storage, but I don't see it helping the main deficiency of a 6.5 ROM on the Wizard, which is available RAM.
I downloaded this kitchen, extracted it to c:/WizardKitchen, and dragged _Cracing_Latest into OVEN.exe, then answered all the questions with the defaults. The resulting OS was too big.

Didyou mean CR96 Touch HD™ RC5 Reloaded w/ M2D Build 21882 Cracing recently posted? For my kitchen you can do this. Copy the sample folder under Wizard_Kitchen and rename the copy to something like _CR96_RC5 or any other name that works for you. Best to have no spaces. Then copy EXT, OEM, ROM and SYS folders from Cracing's kitchen you downloaded to your new folder _CR96_RC5. Then drag and drop the _CR96_RC5 folder on to the OVEN.exe file and the kitchen will start making your ROM.
Cracing's ROM is clean you so can answer no to the Configurator as he already has a complete Config.txt file in his kitchen. Also, you can answer no to the include an Ext_ROM question or pick yes and copy the empty extended ROM I included in the kitchen. There are a few other questions to answer and yo can try it different ways to see what you like best.
You are correct. The extended ROM only lets us add more stuff into our phone during a flash. I am still watching ShaDrac as he works on Extendir.

Use LZX compression. That is how I manage to fit more stuff. I do it by default now asa matter of habit.
If that alone does not help. I typically choose 0, Try Reducing, 4MB pp and include -no cert for the other question group
Thanks, much closer now. Compression was the key to making it fit.
Yes I am trying both _Cracing_Latest and _Cracing_RC6 which I copied from CRACING's recently released kitchen. I am focusing on RC6 but using your _Cracing_Latest as a sanity check.
They both build successfully now. I have not yet burned _Cracing_Latest, but when I burned RC6 it doesn't boot. I've tried twice: it gets stuck at the second screen. I will try same with _Cracing_Latest since I assume it works.

Both of his versions booted for me. Hmmm, I'll try to think of what it could be.
