Att Tilt Rom Question for the Pros - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Wow, haven't been in here for a year and have so much to catch up on. I'm looking to get my hands on a Att Tilt soon and my question is.... Which is better to have the Att Rom or the Kaiser Rom? Or is there a cooked Rom which has the best of both worlds?
Also, Does the Kaiser rom come with the Tom Tom Software?
Does the Att Tilt Rom have Touch FLO? Does Kaiser Rom have Touch FLO?
Thanks so much in advance. I can't wait to Super Tweak my Tilt like I used to with my Jam, 8125 and TYTN back in the day!

Can't comment on what's a better ROM as I have a Dutch Orange test ROM (which has the worst batterylife ever by the way) but my personal experience is that branded software There is no cooked ROM (yet). The chefs are working on it so untill that time it's biting nails for everyone
Normally all ROM's for the Kaiser, even the branded, come with TomTom software. GPS Quality is excellent.
As far as I know, all ROM's come with touchflo. Not the cube as on the ELF, but you can scroll by moving your finger around on the screen. Works great!

Wrong.
Actually, very few ROMs come with TomTom. In fact, I believe it is only the European unbranded ROMs that contain the TomTom software on the install cd (not built into the ROM). The AT&T rom will NOT have TomTom but will instead have TeleNav.
Having said that .. you can download the version of TomTom that came with the TyTAN II and it *may* work on the Tilt.

The better ROM is going to be the HTC in this case. AT&T loaded it up with demo-ware. They also removed some things that are standard.
I have the Kaiser and will be ordering the Tilt probably tomorrow so I should be able to give a better side-by-side shortly.
But I guarentee that the HTC ROM will be going on the Tilt as soon as possible.

DEFFINATELY the HTC Rom..
ATT's will have nerfs and bloatware.. unnecessary software that hogs memory.
ATT's doesn't have the home screen either.
Just keep in mind though whether you're using a BETA HTC rom or an official release. Always try and stay with an Official Release.

potential problem #1 with HTC firmware on the Tilt:
If you take a look at the keys on the Tilt, the characters don't match up with the Kaiser. So before making the FW switch, we have to figure out which keyboard layout code to use. SHOULD be simple but you never know. Compare things like the : and ; and = and $ and a few more things that are easily visible.

Why couldn't we just use the registry key from the Tilt with the HTC firmware. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me - it was the same change needed for the TyTN ROMs vs 8525.

SHOULDN'T be a big deal. I just remember when we first started cooking Wizard ROMS or flashing s620 ROMS how the keyboard layouts were wrong and it took a little while to figure them all out.
That's the ONLY issue I see at the moment... Will be interesting to see what it does when you try to enable a video call with no front camera.

So I guess my conclusion is....I'm stuck with the Att Rom for now.... BLECH! I hate these demo crapware Att always installs. I can't wait to try some delicious new Cooked Roms. I really just want the TomTom and the demostuff deleted. I do have iGuidance GPS software but for mobile 5.0....i'll give it a try

Trust me, it won't be long. There should be a way to put the HTC ROM on VERY soon... I wouldn't customize the AT&T one too much. You won't have to be stuck with it very long.

i got my tilt last night and i woudl like to have the TyTn 2 rom on it as well. i cant wait for people to start putting out all the cool stuff.

Rumor has it that at&t took out the Internet Sharing application. Is this true? Did they totally remove it from the ROM or did they just not put a shortcut to it in the Programs menu (like they did with the Blackjack WM5 ROM)? If it's gone, does anyone have it extracted as a cab file to install?

It's there they just deleted the shorcut.

yup, I just got my Tilt and I can't wait to dump this AT&T rom. It's loaded with demoware and various annoyances. Plus (coming from an 8125 with a cooked rom), I forgot how truly awful and ugly the at&t dialer was! Ugh. And no luck getting Duronmarcel's dialer to work on it so far...

Internet Sharing
I was going to buy a tilt today but I hear they do not have the Internet sharing any more. How can i fix this. I need the sharing to hook my Vista UMPC to the internet. I saw someone said it is still there but no shortcut. How would I find the program to create the shortcut. I have an 8525 and I looked in it for the main program but cant seem to locate it. BTW my 8525 has WM6 Black 2.5.
Thanks for any help!!! I have one being held for me and would love to go pick it up but need this feature.

It's in the windows directory. I think it was a hidden file. When I get time I'll make a cab file to restore the icon.

Thanks
Hey thats great if you can do that for me I am off to get a Tilt. Thanks for the help.

Anyone with a Tilt still on AT&T ROM want to dive into the registry and get the keyboard layout?
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty
Layout = ?

Actually that key isn't there anymore.
It might be under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout\
HTC ROM has Active=00000409
There is also a set of keys under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\ with two keys underneath that.
00000409 (like referenced in the above value)
e0010409
The contents of 00000409 is
Layout File = KbdNopAll.dll
Layout Text = US
PS2_AT = KbdNopAll.dll
The contents of e0010409 is
Ime File = compime.dll
Keyboard Layout = 00000409
Layout Text = COMP IME

Windows Mobile 6
Titanium Edition v2.0 (WM6Ti)
Base ROM Information
The base rom was a "dogfood" Wizard WM6 ROM that was part of testing of WM6 inside of Microsoft.
This is an actual Wizard WM6 ROM, not stripped from another device and reworked until it runs on the Wizard.
Windows Mobile 6, OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01
ROM Version: 10.1.0.811 WWE
ROM Date: 08/11/06
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.
What additives in this dogfood, you ask?
Office 2007
VoiceCommand
HTC Audio Manager (Newer Version from HTC Touch)
HTC Home Plug-In (from HTC Touch)
HTC Music Plug-In (for HTC Audio Manager)
HTC 8-Button CommManager (from HTC Trinity)
HTC X-Button v1.0
Faria's Camera/Video Streamer
"Black Dymond" Keyboard
SQLCeMobile
BatteryStatus (Ti Theme & Custom Tray Icons)
TodayAgenda
Pocket RAR
Total Commander
Adobe Reader LE
PHM Registry Editor
Custom Splash and HTCTi Theme
Requirements
You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
You MUST be running ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP (Vista comes with the correct sync utility, although there have been issues reported about Vista and sync'ing with PPC's so be aware of that).
Before you attempt to upgrade to this ROM, Please follow this thread to learn how to flash roms and CID unlock, and how to fix issues you may run into! It is also recommended that you flash your phone with a Windows XP computer and not Vista. It will work with Vista, but if you run into problems Vista can't talk to a phone in Bootloader mode!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
Recomendations:
It is HIGHLY Recommended that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 users can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
It is STRONGLY recommended that you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio (this is a must for Cingular/AT&T customers). Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs). G4 users need to do their research for flashing splash screens, radio's etc.

I've been using it ever since it was released to the Sbsh forum members. We always get to try out new "releases" to report bugs before they're offered to the general public. I've been using it instead of phone alarm . . . much easier on the memory resources and doesn't take up much real estate on the screen.
BTW -- I'd LOVE to BETA test the Titanium ROM. . . looks like it's right up my alley
Good to know that there is some interest, but I'm still working on a couple of things before I release this to the public.
How's this rom with missed calls. I had to ditch every wm6 version I've tried because they missed to many.

I've asked this before, but never received an answer, maybe because they thought I was joking, but:
How do I know if I have missed calls........?
What radio versions are you using? IT's been found the only reliable radio version with these wm6's is 2.19.11 Tmobile UK

When I had missed calls the phone had stopped working and I didn't know it until I tried to make a call. once I rebooted I had messages (voice mail) but if they didn't leave a message there was no indication. Same as if the phone had been turned off.

Hmmm. This looks like it has potential. One thing as much as I like PhoneWeaver I don't think you should include it built into the ROM. If the user doesn't want it they have no way to delete it. Plus I'm not sure how Amit @ SBSH looks on it being included in a custom build that is being distributed. Just my 2 cents.

I'd just call my voicemail and check messages. Never got any notifications of these phantom missed calls or voicemails. I think I was using a 2.25 radio though. 2.19 doesn't miss them? Thats weird how an older version works better with a newer os. since this one is an official wizard wm6, i was wondering if it had an official wm6 radio, but giving the pictures a closer look i see the 2.19 there.

Please Read Things to Know:
1. This Rom has not got midlet manager so you need to install one before trying to run any midlet applications.
2. You just need to Flash Rom, hard reset, wait for customisation to finish.
3. To activate cube please run Ftouchflo.config in Touchflo Folder and enable Ftouchflo in general tab. To de-activate the cube just do the reverse.
For useres who wants to re-align thier screen after set up.
To fix screen alignment:
1. Run touchflo.config in Touchflo folder and untick in general tab enable touchflo this will ask you to soft reset your device. after soft reset you can then re-align your screen. to activate cube again just enable ftouchflo in touchflo.config again.
Reason is there is a conflict with ftouchflo running which stops the screen alignment configuring properly

This Rom is optimised for speed and stability I havent tested it for long so I'm not sure what bugs are there.
Bugs Reported so far:
IN THE RTM VERSION I have updated S2U2 TO 0.85 upon first boot it shows an error just click ok and that will be it. I still can't figure why its happening that's why I didnt update it before but it runs ok after that.

NEW at&t drivers + new radio
Dutty,
I am a TOTAL n00b with ROM flashing - I just got my AT&T Tilt last Saturday. It is my first mobile device with Windows Mobile - I was a "Treo Palm" user for years, the Blackberry (8800 was the last BB). I got everything figured out for the update on Vista last night - and updated release 3 of the TouchFlow beta... then woke up this AM and flashed the "final" release . All I can say at this point is WOWOWOW!! What a great "product"!! I just sent a few bucks your way via paypal. Thank you for such cool stuff! I look foward to the "AT&T" version. I'm not really sure what the "updated radio" means - time to forum search, but it must be a "good" thing .
On a side note - anyone integrate BlackBerry Connect yet? I had it up and running with the "stock" Tilt ROM (which sucks) and now I need to get it running with Dutty's version. Seems to install and run ok - but I need to activate... (getting some strange password message) then I need to integrate it as the "main" e-mail so it works from the touch cube!!!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DUTTY!!!!!
New S2U2 v0.85
Dutty,
Just an FYI...
I saw there was a new S2U2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343256
Don't know if this will be incorporated in the new ROM or if you want to put it in future releases.
too funny - I keep hitting "reload" to see if the ROM is "up" yet. LOL!! I think I'm addicted... I just hope that I don't have to call my company's tech support each time I want to re-activate BB Connect after a ROM flash. I get a feeling that I might be flashing pretty often....

I tired the BlackBerry Connect on my Tilt but everytime I tried to install it would seriosly mess up my phone. It would install ok and then when I rebooted my phone would just sit at the Windows Mobile screen and not proceed any further.
Since then I have not tried it on this ROM or any other ROM but I might try it when Dutty releases this one.
BTW - BB Connect works fine for me on Beta 3 and the "Final" version of Dutty's TouchFlow ROM alltheway. I'll be putting it on the AT&T version to... as soon as I can download the ROM . I downloaded the installer cab from a link on this site that gave all of the links for all of the AT&T cabs. One of the AT&T cabs is BB Connect install. I transferred the cab to my memory stick via the PC -> Tilt USB connection.. then installed the cab from file explorer. Not sure if that helps??
new rom now is now up,
Remember please read through first post before asking questions I already mentioned. This is my first time making a TILT rom so unsure what things to look for
WOOOHOO ROM is up.. come to pappa....
Another link!!!!?
Please guys help...Thanks!!

Hardware graphics acceleration built in in new dutch ROM

Ok, I am quite a newbie on this forum so please correct me if I'm doing something wrong.
The RUU_Kaiser_HTC_NLD_3.29.404.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship ROM, seems to have some kind of Hardware Acceleration in it, simular to KS20.
htcclassaction.org said:
Update May 10, 2008: All About Phones [Dutch] also reports they were told by HTC there will be a ROM update for the TyTN II. From the page (translated from Dutch to English):
Q (All About Phones): What about the driver/rom-update for the TyTN II and other pda's by HTC ?
A (Mark Moons, HTC): I can confirm we will release a ROM-update for the TyTN II this month which will solve and improve most issues. This will also be a 6.1 update so the TyTN II will be completely up to date. I cannot confirm this for other devices.
All About Phones [Dutch] also states a source close to both All About Phones and HTC claims this update will contain hardware-accelerated drivers. According to that source, HTC has finally licensed it from Qualcomm.
Update May 21, 2008: HTC's WM6.1 Update is here (?), ROM analysis and video driver news.
Several sites, including MoDaCo, report the HTC TyTN II Windows Mobile 6.1 and Performance Update is here. They link to a leaked version, but the rumor is this will be released official in the next few days. Before continuing reading, you really should read Paul (MVP)'s post, found at the previous link. Indeed, this ROM is somewhat faster, but does not contain full drivers. But don't stop reading now, there's a lot of very interesting stuff still following!
Meanwhile, what seems to be an Dutch version of the same ROM was already leaked on XDA Developers. We cannot confirm 100% that this is the Dutch (NLD) version of the WWE ROM MoDaCo mentioned above, but we're mentioning it anyway, because there is some other very interesting information about this ROM following (which we have not verified yet is also true for the WWE ROM). First, let's see the 'names' of these ROMs:
WWE (MoDaCo): RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_3.28.405.0_radio_sign_25.83.40. 02_1.65.16.25_Ship
NLD (XDA): HTC_NLD_3.29.404.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship
Similar, aren't they! Let's get down to the juicy stuff! The NLD ROM has an impressive graphics speed improvement on paper, which seems to be mainly due to improved BitBlt performance (BitBlt is used for copying graphics data between places in memory, very important for drawing operations - but many other processing intensive calls are used as well).
Before we continue on that point, there's something else you should know. There is also a leaked Diamond ROM. We have pulled this ROM apart and guess what: it has graphics drivers! They follow the same structure as the KS20 drivers too, with the "ahi2dati" driver at the core of the hardware accelerated graphics, talking to the hardware. It seems to be a bit more compatible with the current Kaiser ROMs, but note we have not compared the internal calls (yet!) to the new leaked NLD and WWE ROMs. Also note that because of this construct, it does not seem to be possible do drop in the libgles_cm hardware 3D driver.
Now it gets really interesting... One of the hackers working on the KS20 drivers has looked at the NLD ROM, and while the NLD ROM does not include the ahi2dati driver, it seems the ddi driver (ddi driver takes care of normal 'windows' drawing operations) on the NLD ROM includes code originally from the ahi2dati driver. Though it is still too soon to be sure, we suspect the NLD ROM uses hardware for BitBlt operations... and only for BitBlt operations.
If this is true, it would definitely open doors to bringing full hardware acceleration to the TyTN II, and possibly other MSM7x00 based devices. We have a TyTN II ROM that somehow touches the accelerated video hardware (NLD, probably WWE), we have fully accelerated drivers from HTC (Diamond), and we already have some prior experience due to the KS20 drivers. Throw them all together and it suddenly becomes a lot more likely the community will be able to bring full graphics drivers to the affected devices. Interesting times! Stay tuned, the effort has already begun!
Update May 22, 2008: Some more driver info
After some more investigation, we have found some more eyebrow raising information. Starting with, yes, the WWE and NLD ROMs do seem to be the same ROM, just a different language, and strangely, a different version number. The 'interesting' things seem to be the same.
Looking further into the Diamond drivers and comparing them to the KS20 material (again, done by the same hacker as who ripped open the NLD ROM), seems so far to reveal that the Diamond driver is not nearly as good with 2D as the KS20 driver is. It could be possible that because of the Manilla interface - which is supposed to 'hide' most of Windows Mobile and seems to use mostly 3D api calls - these 2D calls were not important enough for HTC to optimise. This may make trying to port the Diamond drivers a bit less useful, as in, the effect on the normal Windows Mobile interface may not be as big as we would wish. We shall see. If somebody gets them ported far enough to get a Kaiser to boot with them, that is already an enormous achievement and victory.

Now, I've been testing this ROM, and incredibly enough, it does seem a lot faster on video stuff. Tomtom runs really smooth (with almost no hickup). However, I experienced problems with the radio. Since I started flashing my device just yesterday, I am not experienced enough to say what's the problem.
My symptoms were: slow GPS-fix, NO SOUND!, slow 3G fix. Did not try phone calls for obvious reason.
Now, I'm really eager to find someone who is experienced enough to cook a new ROM with the graphic ingredients from this ROM, because I really think it is a big improvement.
I can not find anyone on this forum who is actively cooking a ROM based on this one, so please let me know if there is any progress in this, because I'm really interested.
Also, if there's anything I could help with (translation if needed) then please allow me.
That's an amazing discovery my friend!

What i've also noticed is that the Qtv playback in CorePlayer doesn't work.
Instead of that, GDI works like a charm.
Maybe Laurentius 26
Maybe L26 can do something with this cause he speaks Dutch (me too, but i cant "cook") . but great news.

Which version of coreplayer are you using? Qtv playback works fast and smooth on mine (version 1.2.5 build 4506)
This is no news, it's not anything special about the NL ROM. All the official WM6.1 ROMs for the Kaiser are the same in this regard.
It's not the full sollution that people are looking for.

I´m talking about Qtv in combination with this ROM.
And to the one above me: As I said before: I'm not experienced enough to know this. We need some expert here...
check and this benchmark with CorePlayer.v1.2.5.Build.4506 in QTV mode
in hypperdragon III wwe 6.1 with NEON_Radio_1.58.25.17
is it very good or is just my idea??
wow, it seems that you have found an old news. Most here know the official ROM from HTC

The RUU_Kaiser_HTC_NLD_3.29.404.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship ROM, seems to have some kind of Hardware Acceleration in it, simular to KS20.

hey morning/evening berdinkerdickle,
I am very glad to see your stripped GSM TreoPro 6.1 ROM comes out, in fact, I am dealing with the same thing on a Chinese forum, and after low-memory-costing ROM published, I moved to OEM package design.
It could be much more logical for us to publish OEM packages instead of custom roms, one reason is ROM core never change, still 'build 19216', another is people want their own localized & personalized ROM anyway.
I list down the latest OEM packages which including in my kitchen, and I hope we can share the OEM packages from now on if you agree with me.
NetCF3.5 [NET 3.5]
HK_Battery_Replace_Volume [give that ugly battery indication back due to volume icon already put into ROM by default]
HK_Manila Square320_128DPI [Manila2D 1.0.1818 which works under 128DPI]
HK_Personalize [splash 1,2&3 screen]
HK_PlumSIP6_PalmTreoPro [Chinese input method]
HK_TaskManager_Show [task manager icon might be disappear after installing manila, this OEM can make task manager shown on your HP again]
HK_WM6.5_BatteryIndicator [WM6.5 battery indicator]
PS: my custom ROM works under 128DPI resolution, I found yours is 96DPI
PS+:you can refer following links for those OEM package which mentioned above

oh, sorry for that,
1 please kindly follow that link, and click 'English' on the top right of your page
2 and now your web page should display with English letters, then select 'ToDownloadPage' & waiting for another page to pop up
3 click 'Raysource' button in that newly opened page to start downloading.
4 oh, before i forgot, the most important thing is you need to install 'Raysource' application first, which you can get from http://static.rayfile.com/en/client/
Plus: make sure dis-select OEM package['Ziti_YaHei' & 'Ziti_ClearType'] in the kitchen once your downloading finish, because those two OEM packages are Chinese language support & customize tool.
The path of those two packages is [dump\SYS\19216\SHARED\COMMON]
Thanks for your fast response!
For other non-Chinese people you can change the RaySource program into English as well:
- Open the program Raysource
- Click on the icon in your traybar
- Click on the item which has an arrow next to it and choose the second option.
Download is slow but the program has a resume option.

For a while I've had the E71 before. Together with the Treo Pro it was hard to decide what to keep. Both have their pro's and cons. Since I've got the Touch Pro 2 the TP became more obsolete and served as a backup device.

I was kind of struggeling if I would continue this RealVGA project before "abandoning" the TP. But since it's actually pretty easy to install RealVGA I thoughy it would not be such a big deal. If you want me to I could post my way of installing RealVGA on the Treo Pro including my RealVGA fixes that I've already posted here on XDA. Just let me know!

Windows Mobile 6.1 Extreme

It's been so long since I've posted here, greetings to everyone and Trib.
I've cooked upa rom about a year ago that has been stable ever since. (WM 6.5.3 50.4 Storage, 20.00-22.00 Program Memory.)
But I've found it to be redundantly complicated.
Therefore, I wish to downgrade it to 6.1. Well, not downgrade it but upgrade in sense of simplicity.
I've downloaded the kitchen from SuperJustKitchen,( justkitchen(.)info/main/rokdownloads/ft2(.)php )which was the only I could find. And I'm going to build a 6.1 ROM, hoping I haven't forgotten how to do it
Since I i'll be constantly improving for the next 1-2 days, I would like opinions and ideas. =D
Edit: Thge SJK wasn't the same Kitchen that I used to work with =S, didn't even get it to build.
Go to my guide on cooking for qvga and there you'll fine my kitchen.
Download that and import a WM6.1 build.
Here is a list of WMBuilds
Hey, Trib still being a rockstar on these forums eh! =D
Um quick question, How will I know if the build is 6.1? Which is latest/Best build for 6.1??
I'm not really sure at this point, but anything before March 11, 2009 should be WM 6.1.
EDIT: I just looked at the list and there isn't a build on there from before the afore mentioned date.
I'll try to find you something to work with..
Ok, so I saw that 21xxx are the 6.1, i got those files, but I don't know how to make the kitchen from your guide, recognize it. The kitchen you have only has 21056, and 21054.
I got the 21057 (Latest one from the 21xxx). I'm not sure if I did it right. =/
Edit: Ok, I cooked a few ROMS but all were un-bootable. I used 21056 because 21057 wasn't being Nice =X
Maybe i build wrongly...
Do you have any 6.1 builds that i could learn from and see what I'm missing out.
(Goal of this: Stable, eXtremely light and fast with Manila 2D.)
I'm backing up my phone now and then i'll cook some 6.1 ROMs up and see what I come up with.
Whatever works, I will share..
Hey, I just cooked a decent ROM that seems to be fruitful. I'm currently testing it out, the only ting i worry is the Eye-candy. It's not as I expected. Umm, is there a way to make it look any better? If not then I'll use PointUI or Throttle Launcher. =D
I am glad that it is working for you now. I actually have never tried using a 6.1 Build and mixed it with 'eye-candy.'
You've given me food for thought, so thank you
Really?? I feel honored to helped the one who helped me in everything related to ROM development.
Hmm, I wonder if my ROM has a visual bug.. My OK and X button on the top right corner is oversized. It's showing like if a 3 year old kid painted it there...

LOL, +1 for making me laugh hard.
I'm not sure why it's like that.
Honestly, I never liked cooking with WM 6.1, I kinda just skipped over it from 6.0 to 6.5.1.
Really?? I feel honored to make laugh the one... Eh, nahh xD
Yeah, I agree with you, same here. First time on 6.1, and quite frankly, I miss my old ROM, I would go back to 6.5.3 but the program memory 'is to da*n low' =/
I flashed one of you saved presets and i loved it but the only thing was that it was 6.5.3 and had manila 2D with a 3D theme, sadly, the program memory was 3mb IDLE! And a lot of functions didn't work. For example: Google Maps, Settings tab, YouTube tab, Wallpaper and comm manger. ( but i think the everything in Settings tab didn't work )
So I'll probably try cooking a 6.5 and cook inside a Manilla 3D into it. And see what comes up.
Let me know if you got anything...
Although I will missed 27mb of program memory from the 6.1. .. AND 7mb pagepool ='(

I am not sure why the ROM wouldn't work for you. Those saved .erv files you should be able to load and recreate the ROMs I have on the fora..
EDIT: I cooked with build 21057 for the fun of it and I saw exactly what you meant, lmao. That is the worse UI I've ever seen M$ use, lol.
But what was cool was I was able to get 33MB of Program memory when I made an SD version and 62MB of Storage. And if I would have not cooked in .NetCF and a keyboard skin I would have gotten 70MB of Storage. I would like to use this but the looks of the ROM are amazingly horrible, so I don't think I can release it, lol.
Yeah =(
Just cooked a WM 6.5 and Manilla into it too, got it manilla to work great, only bug is that I cant change wallpaper T_T
Anyways, i got 4MB of program memory, and i stripped almost everything I could...
Mind giving me a list of ESSENTIAL files so I can make it even more slimer?

If you're making it using my kitchen then i'll upload an ervious save file. But if you're using another kitchen i'll be able to do it in a few hours.
Here ya go.
Awesome thanks, i'll check it out, I also made a extremely light one. 52MB Storage and 20+ Program.
But sadly i couldn't get M2D to be nice. I'm checking out SPB Mobile Shell =D
I'll see if I can make it lighter with from studying your ervs and put in manilla.
Thanks again, you're awesome.
Ah, thank you.
I've decided to upload my complete kitchen for you.
The kitchen you have has about 90% of what I use in mine. Maybe that will help you out. The .erv file you downloaded from 2 posts above, just insert them into:
Working_Folder\TOOLS\RomSaved inside your kitchen's folder in the kitchen you download from me.
My kitchen is huge, so it will take some time to archive and upload.
EDIT: Here is my complete kitchen.
Could you be more awesome?? No, really.. Could you?
Dude, thanks soo much =D
I can make a perfect ROM for me now!! =D
Thanks ^>^
Now, basically, just change up these things (and it will be your custom ROM) :
C:\kitchens\SuperJustKitchen\Working_Folder\SYS\23563 (or whatever build you're using) \dpi_96\COMMON\Base_DPI_96
(You can find icon packs in the Themes section on the forums, Here, and Here.)

(I suggest making a new theme for yourself making sure that you keep the names "classicblue_stwater_240_320.jpg" and "classicblue_stwater_320_240.jpg" the same for your portrait and landscape images. I simply use paint to make new images..)
C:\kitchens\SuperJustKitchen1\Working_Folder\EXT\SHARED\Control Panel\HTCAnimation_1_3_5_0\files
(Now here you can change the boot screens. Try to keep your boot screens less than 45KB and you'll be smaller than M$'s screens.)
Next, click on Show Editor.
This will bring up all the .rgu files that are located in the kitchen. Scroll down to where you see the .rgu file located in the Shell. This takes about 2 to 3 minutes to finally pop up on my computer and it's a fast computer, so be patient^^.
Double click on it and it will open up the editor. Locate line 419. This is where you can 'brand' your ROM. All my ROMs I create usually have the branding '- Trib.' Put anything you want after the '- ' (and you also have to leave space right after the '- '). Then make sure to save. Then close out of the editor. Then go back to the main kitchen window. Then don't forget to save your ROM.
[/B]
Look Here for more info>
I know how to do all those stuff, but since im not releasing it or anything like your stuff man, also you deserve most of the credit so i left your name in shell.
I read your guide on how to cook ROMs for QVGA.
