I take NO responsebility if you brick your device, if you do search the forums before you come flaming me/us here at XDA.
IF you brick your phone (Brick=the phone can be used as a building brick, or maybe a paperweight? Because you cant start it up.) Its no others fault but your own.
Mainly the reason for bricking a phone is:
1. Not reading the instructions good enough
2. Not following the instructions.
3. Not having a RUU that can unbrick the phone (the official installer with the official rom for your specific phone, with your phones default language. In.ex if yu have a german phone by default, you need a german RUU, if not you will get invalid vendor error)
4. Not reading the instructions good enough..again
5. Not following the instructions...again
If you dont understand after reading CAREFULLY, then dont bother flash your device with this or any other rom.
I also recommend to use the pagepool changer found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324955
I did nothing to the pagepool, because ppl have different experience with diffrent size on the pagepool, so thats why I leave that up to you
to find the correct pagepool size for your device.

That´s great that you cook a german rom.
I would be VERY happy when i could flash my XDA terra with an ENGLISH version. Because I hate my german nativ language on Computer.
BUT i´m too afraid to brick my device the third time and there is still no chance for unbricking a O2 Terra.
But there will be many people loving the german version.
I prefere a english one when o2 releases a terra update.

With the first attempt I bricked my herald... well, unbricked it with htc ruu. Trying again now.

Well, I tested a little bit at night and for now it works perfect. Better than the original htc update, because my BT Headset works now even for changing the songs! BT GPS works, too. (oh wonder )
I will test more, the rom is really great.

EDIT: First bug: The windows button dosn work. I get an error opening the shortcut. Its assigned correctly in the settings.
Second? There is no shortcut for TouchFLO settings... so I cant activate the cube. EDIT3: found it... windows/startmen.... the folder is simply named incorrect. EDIT4: Cube is buggy! after activating it my herald crashes after booting. At another case his Herald is rebooting in a loop after activating cube. Cube deactivated and works fine now...
Oh yes, and there are 2 empty folders in programs. (multimedia & programme)

pp changer works fine.
The bug with the startbutton is something that comes with the touchflo, I havnt figured out that one yet, but I must admit I havnt studied so much how to fix it either, but its easy to change by reassigning it in settings.
Ill look into the folder and missing stuff, guess its the german folder names that I have wrong when assigning where diffrent programshortcut goes, ill look into it this weekend.
The loop is something that some ppl experience for diffrent reasons that I dont know, some ppl have no problems, and some get that problem. I think it might be a problem related to storage cards on some devices, what kind of storage card do you have?
I have sandisk 2gb, never had any kind of issues with it.
There has been no change to the cube settings other then translating from english to german, but maybe the paths is incorrect. I dont have time to flash it before saturday, my phone needs to be on always right now. But ill check it out myself on saturday.
But if anyone wanna help, write down correct paths for folders in german rom, with no mistakes in spelling.
in.ex
windows/start menu/programs.....
windows/my documents/videos
etc etc
if there is space between names like in english "start menu" I need to know that too.
Find the bugs in it now, cause if there is more after i upload fix, I wont be able to fix it for along time.

turn off batterystatus, soft reset then start it again, that helped me on an earlier pdaviet rom.
But 4mb pagepool is often unstable and unreliable. Sometimes 4mb works fine, sometimes not. works for me though
I think the updatet rom will be up by sunday evening sometime, I hope the pathnames and directories will be alright in final version.

i have looked through all paths in initflashfiles in my packages
they are in.ex like this:
Windows\Startmenü\Programme\TouchFlo
so according to your and another guy that helped with names on the paths, I allready have all the correct paths for icons and links.
So what happens I dont know yet.

Hi Megabug,
you can change it with the tool BioTouch Settings" in the TouchFlo folder.
First Line under the tab "Mediahub" lets you choose between mediaplayer and audioplayer.

at first I have to thank you for setting up TouchFlo in german language. I use it for about 2 days and it works great. Megabug is right with those 2 folders in the wrong language for start menue. But the solution is quiet easy: copy those contents to the right folder "start menü" and everything works great.
But I have recognized that tools like "shaps advanced config tool" or others for tweaking windows don´t work after installing your TouchFlo. So I have to edit the registry for my own. Not very bad but a "nice to have feature" if it would work.
So, please go on working like that. It´s great. You´re the first one who is cooking ROM in german language and sare it with others. We all need guys like you.

Never said that copying the folders content won't work...
And changing the settings for media hub, as I also said, dosn't work! I still have the mediaplayer starting where the audio-manager should be.

very very very very very very mutch for this absolutelty "porno-ROM"
I flashed it two hours ago. I had absolutely no problems, everything works grat.
1. Schap`Advanced, do not use the Ver 0.9, use the Version 1.0. This works for me without any problems.
2. Copy the all the files from the wrong named "Startmen.."-folder to the Folder Windows/Startmenü/Programme. Then you can delete the othe folders (Startmeny and Startmen).
3. Copy all the files in folder ProgramFiler into the folder Mein Gerät/Programme/Windows Media Player.
And thats it.
For me averything worked absolutely correct, the cube, touch flo,battery satus,media player, Bluetooth,WiFi....everything.
At least I say it again Itje you are my hero.

hmm, I dont understand why the startmenüs ü is boxed, all the foldernames is spelled correctly in my files. But Ill try do some deeper digging.
but I will fix the other pathnames and folders that is incorrect.
When it comes to shaps advanced config tool, I tried to cook that into the roms, but it failed, crashed the device all the time unfortunatly.
Im not sure what cause the audiomanager/mediaplayer bug, but ill look into it, does it work for some of you or is it a bug on everyones device?

Sorry for being off topic, but if you buy a porsche in america it's also not original ?. Surely it is, because they only change software for displaying you mph rather than km/h ... and it's still a porsche.
btw, you seem to use a phone that's not original, or was yours built in the country you live ... throw it away as soon ans possible and get another one ...

Judging by Hewlit's flag and home town of Bucharest I'd say he wasn't from America, and quite possibly English wouldn't be his first language so he may know what he's talking about. I think I know what he means though, if I watch foreign language films they are much better in their own language (complete with sub-titles if you don't understand that language) than when the vocals get dubbed.

i am from Europe and english is not my native language. and with all this i don't use the romanian language on my SPV M5000.
most of the command words like Send, Recive, Incomming Beam etc sound verry verry wierd in my language. it almost makes me laugh when i see someone's phone showing those words in romanian.
english is the only language that realy looks profesional on PDAs, PCs, Softwares etc.
and yes, i watch movies with subtitles rather than with dubbed vocals.
on my tv i have a German channel called RTL and they have films with dubbed vocals.
it is annoying and funny when you hear a bad actor tring to speak like Tom Cruise....

I can see in your page http://gullum.4shared.com that Greek language is missing from the suported language images for the touch dual keyboard. Is there any way to create a cab for that too? For everything you may need, many greeks are here.

no sorry there are some other files that need to be canged.
because changing the mui will make the os look in folder that are not there
startup folder is called something else in french same with all other standard folders
i've only noticed four \windows subfolders with localized names
-Favorites (Favoris)
-Programs (Programmes)
-Startup (Démarrage)
-Start menu (Menu démarrer)
How retarded is this, should'nt wm6 use $path variables for this stuff ?

I found this information on http://myg900.com/index.php?showtopic=199 which gives additional information on how to remove XT9 completely, albeit on a different device. I found just changing the registry entries above though disabled XT9 and makes it simple enough to re-enable at some point in the future. A side effect of disabling XT9 on my device also seems to be that both the 'Touch Keyboard' and 'Touch Keypad' have now become a full 40 key keyboard, albeit with no word completion.
Having looked through the registry I found that the following registry entry controls the font size used when entering new text messages:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox]
"RichEditHostFontSize"="10"
You can change the value to whatever you feel is appropriate. I think 10 is the same size as I had on my previous ROM.

DIY HOWTO
1. Run WM6.5.3_Elfin_GER_28014_ALLinONE.exe.
Now got to WM6.5.3_Elfin_GER_28014_ALLinONE folder.
Additional tasks before starting:
a) choose your ROM:
There are some different ROMs. Best for me was 228 so I already put it in the baseROM folder. If you have problems choose another one from CHOOSE_ROM folder. Just delete the old one in baseROM folder and add the new. Information to ROMs can be find here:
At this point: THX to cmonex!
b)ADD or/and remove additional software:
Go to EXT Folder and look through includedPackages and excludedPackages folder to see additional software.
To add just copy folder from excludedPackages folder to includedPackages Folder. To remove, just delete the folder of the software you want to delete from includedPackages folder.
2. Run build_rom.bat
cmd.exe will open and build your rom. Just wait until it's finished. You are finished when you get following message: "Drücken sie eine beliebige Taste..."
Hit enter or space or whatever
3. Connect your HTC with PC, if you haven't done yet. Wait for Activesync to connect with your device.
4. Go to RELEASE folder and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe.
Follow instructions on screen and wait. Don't wonder, colored screen and blanc screen will appear on htc. At the end there will be a congratulation screen, now just press finish.

Before i do that, some Questions:
- Is this ROM completly in German, or only (some of) the main menus?
- How is the speed compared to the original ROM?
- Is it possible to disable some of the animations to increase the speed?
- can you please post some more pictures of the Keyboard? (SMS writing). How many/which Keyboard layouts are on board?
- T9 in German with Ää, Üü, Öö, ß?
- Any Layout options?

Hey sven89n! I am using this rom since several days and can not report any bugs. I can only repeat, what I've already posted in your German thread: FANTASTIC ROM! I've also installed the "colorful taskbar for HD2 - WM 6.5.x (NOT 6.5 !) based on brians/gfreek" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625465) and it works without problems.
Three questions:
1. Do you prefer posts in German or in English?
2. Do you want to know, which apps / customizations are compatible? (e.g. MortPlayer, G-Watch, Total Commander, e-Natives Showcase, Exidler FingerKeyb, 6Fg8 TaskBar)
3. Are there any special things I can / should test?
I am very interested in your further developments of this rom. What do you plan?
update failed
After Rom-Update HTC Touch starts up and shows a orange Windows Background and thats all. Nothing more happens and there is nothing i can do to get it starting normal (reset/restart). I can´t even get into Bootloader-Mode now.
I tried 2.28 first, but after building rom, the update utility did tell me the rom is corrupted. I then tried 3.07 (updated isp spl first to 3.07) and now i am stuck on the orange windows background...
EDIT: Ok, it worked after several reboots and resets. I am not sure what brought the Touch back to life, but the device had several hangs before, so maybe it has a defect anyway (maybe that´s the reason i got it for free, besides it was a spanish rom version). I flashed the 2.28 version back on it over an sd card flash, after i finally managed to enter bootloader (didn´t know it works with camera-button and usb-cable). Then a full reset worked and now i am running the 6.5 german ROM!
So far it looks good.
i will give you some more feedback after installing several tools (mortplayer, tcmp)...

Complete german rom, apart of some connection und sim management... its still english. Main menu , contacts... are german.
Its faster than the original rom, I wont decrease speed by puttin some in some Manilla or sth. like that.
Keyboard is the original MS Keyboard, simple version. You can activate word suggestion (german/english).This keyboard contains umlauts.

Not cooked in, because MSM already included some kind of manilla,calles Titanium.

When I click on "Alle Fotos" in dashboard ---> selecting Storage Card ---> select a Photo ---> click on "Menü", the "Bilder" App crashes.

I can't find the energy settings (power mode) wor W-LAN, where are they?
3.
Where's the "My Info" owner information splash screen (if device/screen turns on)?
4.
How can I see the password hint when Device is locked?

For what stands MSM?
Okay some mor Infos and Tips:
- If you want to use Windows Marketplace, My Phone and Office 2010, install these Apps FIRST!
Don't know why, but if you first install other Programs, Marketplace, My Phone and Office 2010 won't install.
Even when there's enough space on Device...
- Resco Photo Manager and File Explorer are running very smooth on the Touch! Even Photo Manager runs as fast as on my Touch Pro T7272!
- SkyFire and Operah are fast, but only when no other App runs in the Background.
Listening Music with Windows Media Player during surfing the Web with SkyFire or Operah is no fun. Music is stuttering
- Bing Maps and Google Maps are running Great to.
I prefer Bing. Nearby search working great in my German Cities
Does anyone know when Bing will be evailable in German?
- Windows LIVE Apps are fast to - no Problems.
I only can make a Shortcut to the Camera Button (starts Task Manager now).
What about the other Buttons, i rember that with original ROM it was possible to edit these to?
Problems, problems, problems... Don't know why
Since 3 or 4 Days the Device doesn't respond/freezes.
No new Programs installed, storage and RAM are okay.
Folloving problems appear after soft reset, hard reset and even after reflashing the Device!:
- Device gets very slow or freezes very often
- It's impossible to open a new received SMS or reply
- If someone calls, the device vibrates more than 30 Minutes! Only softresetting solves to problem
- Alarm Clock Slider doesn't appear - can't switch of the alarm
- Often device unlocking is impossible - slider doesn't responding | complete black or white screen

I have the upgraded to the full version, with advanced text to speech, and live traffic update, but only thing missing is custom Voices! lol

If you have a N. American version there is none.
If you look on the sd card there is a folder copilot/speech/en-us/<voice>/<files>.ogg. Sure you can just replace those with other custom ones.
There are a number of voices you can download through your Co-Pilot Central software. I use a nice English voice for mine. I have even tried other languages just for grins. Are you looking for voices like Darth Vader, such as those offerd by TomTom? One thing to try: download a free voice for TomTom, change the file suffix to whatever CP8 needs, and see if it works. Can't hurt, but I don't know what the differences might be between the files.
I read online (sorry, I forget where) that you can record your own and as was suggested, simply drop them into the voices folder. You will need a media recorder thingy to create the files with the correct file extension.
Copying voices from TomTom will not work, the instructions are different, for example, one of them strings smaller instructions together to create the whole thing such as : "at the roundabout take the" + "2nd" + "exit", whereas the the other will have it all as one sound file (hopefully that makes sense to you)

ALK ist dieser bug bekannt ! Wann allerdings ein Patch/Update kommt, konnte mir keiner von der Hotline beantworten ...
Ob sich dieser bug in anderen Sprachen (ROMs) wiederfindet entzieht sich meiner Kenntnis.

The only problem that still remain with the HD2 is the voice stuttering. All the other problems like crash, TTS, GPS signal etc were solved by configuring the sys.txt file.
About other HTC devices, I know that also Touch Pro and HD1 are having problems with the new primo.

I haven't been able to get TTS working with Nuance, only Loquendo and then it stutters. Can you describe you voice setup in detail please. I had Primo 1.1 working perfectly with Nuance and memory load was far lower than Loquendo.

Copied the files and it worked. But they seem to have only german and romanian in this thread.
Why isnt it working for you? In the voice pack i used before i had to remove the "apdb_filename="apdb_Samantha_NNG.dat"" line in the info.ini or it wouldnt stay selected in Primo. But this was a voice pack wich missed some of the TTS pro features. (maybe because it was missing some files in the tts_nua_v5 folder)
For me the old Igo 8.3 TTS voices dont work. Primo says they are the wrong voice pack. But i think it doenst matter..since i got the other one working.
Ah and the sys.txt needs at least this line:

I'm also waiting for a possibility to make it portrait... I've read it needs completely different data files for that, those have not been released (yet?).

Well i dont want it in Portrait, just Landscape the other way.
Did anyone get the alternate paths for POIs,DEM and Speedcam working? For me it just doesnt, have to copy them twice, while it works nicely on the maps.

What the TTS announcements is. Starts times Primo 1.2, then go look at the extra settings, select the item Bildschirmkalibrieren there and execute. Then start times a route simulation.
I came out of a stupid accident.
On my htchd2 by this action all of the TTS vorgelesn Anna and navigate the street names when.
But only until you restart Näger Primo. After rebooting again I must carry the action with the screen calibration.
What it had to emulate, white I do not, but try it again.

I had try to running on My Omnia 2 but is do hard to lock satellite, sametime its lost satellite so often.
I thing old version V8.5 is better and more stabile in my O2.
