I have tested and the most stable speed will between 240 to 260mhz. Anything higher could give funny symptom.

I've been running at 240 for a week with no drastic effect on battery life. Found I could use Skype very nicely and tcmp movies ae smooth and a pleasure to watch. Phone is operating great.

hmm good news...
hopefully it's possible to get higher speeds in future with other roms maybe?

I did mine @ 240 and I am very happy with the change, I must say to all of you thinking about it! It has really made a difference to my JAMin.
It now runs like you would expect the latest to run.

i have also overclocked mine, running at 240, which seems a bit faster here and there, i tend to only overclock when im running an intensive application (tomtom etc)
however battery life doesn't seemed to be effected! i dont know why this isn't a standard clock speed for htc to set it to!

Faster than 240? Any experience?
All - I ran my Prophet at 252 MHz for a full week of use (i.e. clocked to 252 all the time, not just for a certain application instance) and it worked great. I am now trying it at 264 MHz to see if that is stable.
Any experience with these speeds, or what is the fastest clock rate you think is "stable"?
TIA....

Can anybody give me a link to the file that overclocks it and allows it to stay overclocked at that frequency all of the time. I have read that it resets after a bit.
Thanks!

Dear "Kanjibankers",
Please see http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=41689
All you need are:
+ Create sortcuts. Customize these shortcuts for your need.
+ Using Memaid to make these shortcuts run automatically.

I installed Smartskey yesterday, and set the omapclock option to 240. Unfortunatly it selfreseted itself after coming out of standby(after about 5 minutes of working fine). It worked fine at 220 though. Is this mayby because smartskey assigns the omap clock setting to the button?(instead of putting it on the notification queue)

I tried running it 240 on my Jamin with AKU2, it locked up, anything below is fine, above will self reset. I wonder if it is an interaction with a software loaded.
I'll hard reset and test.

Must be software related. I ran a Cingular 8125 at 240 for 3 weeks and now my Qtek S200 for a week with no ill effects.
240 actually ends up being about 225-227.

240 messes up the Radio on my S200, had to go back down to 235

Thanks, i will try it

Dopod with the lasted ROM overclock at 240 Mgz working without a problem.

Is it possible to overclock only the camera functions?

Any way to make the 'touch scrolling' smoother with Touchflo roms?

Just curious if there has been any kind of fix for the very erratic/choppy touchscreen scrolling (especially when using internet explorer) with the Touchflo roms?
I know it's probably just a resultant of our phone's hardware limitations vs. the HTC Touch, but just curious if anyone's gotten it to smoothen out a bit? (of course probably nowhere near IPhone smoothness)
OC
Over clocking the phone would help.
Mine is at 273 and works very nicely.
here too, using 273mhz
I have no problems with scrolling.
Even with my processor running @ 195mhz, scrolling goes very smooth.
Of course you have to load the whole page before scrolling.
Regards,
Schmia
Is there any way to adjust the smoothness of the scroll through a registry edit? PIEPlus has ultra smooth screen drag abilities... Would be great if touchflo could work just as smoothly. Any ideas?

RickerRacker Fire cracker Sis Boom BAH!!!

Hey Zoki,
Great work on all of the NBD series. It has been quite a run.
I'll definitely going to download this. Btw, is there a list of what is included on the ROM? (OEM, Reg Tweaks, etc...) Thanks
Vanilla rom! So no extras like totalcommander, pim backup, wm5torage.
Great ROM and pretty fast. Fantastic that it's vanilla!
A couple of issues though. I've set regional settings for 24 hour mode and date as m/d/y and it works everywhere except HTC Home. Time is still 12 hour and date is d.m.y. I looked and didn't see any extra settings in HTC Home. Is this a registry setting?
Also PIMBackup 2.5 takes CPU usage to 100%. Any ideas?
Is it G4-safe?

Change in settings: HH:mm:ss to H:mm:ss ...... it worked for me!
Just downloaded your new rom.
Great rom and looks and feels fast.
But i have one issue, after configuring my phone the tab "personal" in the settings menu is emtpty.
And when i press the tab "system" my phone Qtek9100 crashes.
BTW: i have nothing installed so the phone is not infected by any 3th party software.
waiting for this

i love vanilla , o it means very few preinstalled apps on it
One issue found...I flashed it last night with battery at 75%, leave it overnight and it shut off this morning. Because battery ran flat. It drains battery.
Overall it is nice clean ROM

Which "settings" are you referring to? As I stated, I changed the settings in regional settings. A little more detail would help.

TF3D Performance Issue

It is obvious when the phone is in hard-reset stage and you watch the DEMO video about the TF3D, the performance is quite facinating!
As you have your device passed that stage and it is ready now, the TF3D is bit sluggish and not as it demonstrates on the video! Quite interesting huh?
@least the Programs tab is not what the demo shows not even the scrolling speed!!
Is there a way to overcome this it is quite normal and the DEMO video is just a tuned sequence?
Search for "Raphael Tweaks" in the search function, there are a bunch of ways to speed it up.
I have seen most of them and used couple. My question is do I have to tweak in order to achieve a top notch performance on a brand new device with just two applications installed?! I mean did that demo device have a tweaked settings or registry tweaks loaded?

That device had 3,924 gigs of ram and a 293847ghz processor with 234837mb of memory for graphics acceleration. The demo makes the device appear how they want it to appear, not necessarily how the device will perform. Not fair, I know, but that's marketing for ya.

What Rom are you Running?
My Pro Runned Quite all right even with out Tweaking.
And it ran better with FireRom.
If you look properly at the DEMO, when he slide the thumb to switch screen, you can see the transition animation but on the real device, it just change. I'm going to complain about this.

Don't ever believe any advertisement you see on the internet for a product...hell, I don't think I've ever had a Big Mac the way it is on the internet (or even tv). The devices up for sale are the squished Big Macs...sauce on half the burger, cheese that is half way under the bun, and one pickle.
But just like the Big Mac...I can't live without it. It is the first thing I think of every morning. Damn...now I'm hungry. Need to get out of here. I have 30 minutes before the breakfast menu starts.

But Rapheal Roms aren't that Many at the Moment

TouchFLO 3D version is: -
1.2.34834.2_1813.6
Is this what most have? BTW, you could notice the transition while thumbe-scrolling left or right. This might be slowing down the TFLO! Is there a way to stop this transition just like the old WM5 Start-menu transition?

Yup that is abit newer version.
I have not seen a trick to kill transitions completely. But this one should be a bit faster.

why you use 6.5 instead of 6?

I installed 6.5 on my wizard, it is slower than 6. I am thinking about going back to 6. Is 6.5 better than 6 in some point?
It is for sure slower & with less memory
but :
It is prettier, more finger friendly, you can choose a version with CHome (I have kinda bored Manilla) & every version that I try is faster than the previous & with more memory
I am using XDA2's CHome, it's pretty good, and I'll say it's very pretty. I get used to Manilla, maybe I will try to install that one and try out for a while.
i think 6.5 is more suitable for 128M ram devices, no?

Yeah, I think so, and cpu should be around 400.
Went back to 6.1
I installed xda2 CHome and another rom that slips my mind. Both were fine, but I found them slow and I had trouble closing windows with my finder--where as 6.1 it worked fine.
ive got 6.5 and ive actually found it faster than 6 and 6.1

really?
I use CRMac beta 2 (6.5), at first boot have more 25mb ram free, after 1 day use still 21mb...It's great room but i still don't like Mac UI in this room
review?
I'm using xda2's CHome WM6.5 version 2.7(?). I flashed today. It was slow at first but im using Omapclock to overclock to 240. I've used this for a couple hours now, and with the overclock it seems a lot smoother than 6.1, especially the touch scrolling. The animations are also very smooth, which makes the device seem a lot faster than it is =]
Also, I seem to have a good amt of RAM after a couple hours of use, around 18MB. More RAM is available after a soft-reset.
I'm using a program i found here on XDA that autolocks my phone when it turns back on, so I'm finally using the native WM lock versus when i had 6.1, when i always used S2U2. S2U2 is great, but I wanted to try out the native lock. Its called Chobit SmartLock, and so far it works well. I also like the Caller ID here.
A downside though is that I dont think this version has a favorite contacts panel on the today screen, or a favorite programs panel either (like the ones you would find in M2D). Maybe I missed it?
But again, I've only been using this for a couple hours. Not much time to thoroughly evaluate it i guess. And props to xda2_haseeb!

Why I prefer 6.5
I prefer the overall UI functionality, it is lacking in a couple of areas so far (would like the calendar to show the next appt) but the finger interface is much improved over M2D/WM6.1.
Personally I find the XDA2 ROMs a bit under developed (currently trying v3.0 - gonna revert back to CR 6.5.0.0.4) and the v3 UI is a bit garish (the new titanium UI looks like an incomplete port of a VGA model).
It does tax the old OMAP850 (@195MHz) to it's limits but I like it!
