Seems that users of hx4700 and hx2000 series pdas can get an upgrade to windows mobile 2005 for $39.99 (USD).
I wonder if this will lead to others to follow... Some how I doubt it, but you never know.

I have a Dell Axim x30 (624mhz) running WM 2003 SE butI'd like to know is it possible to install WM 2005 version that is leaked on the net?
Are there any users on those boards who actually succeeded installing it on Dell Axim x30 device?

Dell are going to release an upgrade for people using the x30 for FREE, all as you have to do is pay for the shipping cost of the disc itself.
So, just wait patiently and you will get ur upgrade
I may be wrong, but I think you'll find the only Dell models confirmed to get the WM2005 upgrade are the X50.
I'm not even sure the X30 series have enough ROM space to install the update.
Wouldn't hold your breath getting in for your X30.
I'm not sure if this is appropriate or not but I figured someone on here could point me in the right direction..
I have an iPAQ 4155 Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 2003 (non SE) on it, and it's very snappy, speed-wise, and I also own a HTC Wizard, I know the Wizard comes with 2005 but 2006 is also for it now but not officialy from t-mobile as far as i know but anyways, i've heard of a couple people putting WM2003SE and 2005 on the ipaq model i have, even though its not officially from HP, does anyone know how I could possible figure out how to put wm2k3SE,2k5 or 2k6 on it ? would it be possible to 'cook' one up for it or whatnot ?

WM6.5 seems to be a lite Version of WM for slow Devices.
So it seems that the Toshiba seem 2 make a WM7 Rom only.

wm6.5 is just a quick way to give a good lifting to many wimo phones. WM7 is a new os that will be realeased later.
I read on the web that this two os will stand together, but i never heard that toshiba planned to skip the wm6.5 to go straigt to the wm7 one.
plus the wm7 phones specifications are multitouch with tg01 doesn't have!
The official Windows Mobile 6.5 update for the TG01 will be out on October 6th (when 6.5 launches) and should be available via your service provider / Toshiba.
