Screeen Alighment issue with 1.6a - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Windows Mobile 2005 Upgrading

Dear Buzz,Rudegear other experst and members,
I was surfing net in landscape mode and till then everything was alright..but when I restored the orientation to the potrait mode, the alignment gone heyware....somehow managed to get back..but can u tell...why this is with 2005 and hw this can be fixed...
Do I need to assign a button for rotating the screen?
Pls reply

It sounds like a problem I occasionally have with 1.60b. It usually happens after PIE has crashed. The screen looks right but it misinterprets touches: usually it acts like it's rotated through 90 or 180 degrees. Touch one corner and another reacts!
I take regular backups to a storage card, so a quick restore puts it right.

I'm facing the same problem. It seems to be related only to the german ROM, as nobody else here is reporting a similar problem. Here are two work arounds I found so far:
- open a video with windows media player. Somehow this initializes the video driver in a way that the black parts do not occur anymore. However, if you close the app, the black parts occur again. So you have to keep the app in the background
- Set HKLM\System\GWE\PORepaint to 2. If the device is turned on, all windows are redrawn. This removes all black parts. However, this only works if the device has been turned off for a couple of seconds (3 or more)
Hope that helps!

Screen burn in problem

I got my replacement Fuze from AT&T and as soon as I did, I flashed WM6.5 on it. And now I noticed that a few things from landscape view are burned in on my screen, and you can only tell when its closed [portrait view]. The very bottom of the screen, just big enough for the left/right soft touch buttons, flashes constantly. And I can see the X for closing a window and the time burned in from when it was in landscape view.
It did this before and went away and now its back. What do I do to fix it? Get it replaced again?
im not sure what actually causes that but i dont think its real screen burn in. ive had it happen and go away. its something weird with tf3d maybe?
Sometimes I have seen 'Action' and 'Camera' burnt in at the bottom in portrait view, but it's not always visible, and don't see it often
Try turning teh screen brightness way down

I have only had this happen once and it was when I had the screen brightness all the way up. I turned the brightness way down and after about 30 minutes the ghost images went away (gradually).
Hope this helps.
Turn the phone off and take the battery out for a couple minutes. Worked for me.
It seems like a software issue to me, because also when I go to landscape view sometimes, the icons are all distorted. Looks like I'll be going back to WM6.1 for a bit, until I can find a stable 6.5.

[Q] Problems with touch screen.

Hi, I have problems with my screen. I dropped my Touch Pro in the ground and after that my screen rotates when I touch it. Switches from landscape to portrait every time I press the screen and if I do it again it switches again from portrait to landscape hope you get me.... Another problem after that is when I press the turn off button to turn the screen off it turns immidiately back on, so the screen is always on and my battery doesnt run long because of that. I'm wondering if the screen is broken or can some other sensor in the phone be broken? Have some of you heard of this happened before?
Sorry about my bad english I hope you get what I'm trying to say

[Q] Screen is rotated when Phone Dialer appears

Hi!
Did anyone here notice that the screen rotates from landscape to portrait mode every time the Phone Dialer appears? Like for instance, when you short press Send (Dial) Key or when you get an incoming call?
I have tried so many differend ROMs I don't even know which one I have installed now. The described behaviour was the same on all of them.
Is there any way to fix this? I have tried 'auto rotate' but it just looks silly: when i get incoming call, the screen first rotates to portrait, then 'auto rotate' rotates it back to landscape and I can't answer the call during all this rotating going on
You probably need to flash back to stock or do a MTTY Task 29 then flash a custom ROM, sounds like you have some residual affects from previous flashes.
Thanks, I guess this is the only thing left to do. I assume you didn't notice this behaviour with your Topaz? The phone app also has other bugs, like the button "Save to contacts" does nothing...
Does it stay in landscape mode? or does it only do if for a second or less and then switch back to portrait? I recall having a similar problem on one of mine... I just did a hard reset tho and that fixed it for me.
If auto rotate is turned on it rotates back to landscape (but ti takes more than a second), else it stays in portrait mode. It's good to know hard reset (better with format) really is the solution. I will try it when I find some time.

[Q] Fuze Slider stuck :'(

Hi everybody,
I have a HTC Fuze and been using it for a long time now.
Yesterday I reckoned that the spring which holds the ribbon slider is dislodged so it wouldn't close the black ribbon Cover.
So I happily found a service manual for the Fuze and gathered my tools to solve the problem.
I have to hand it to myself that I read the manual and was able to disassemble my beauty safely, put back the little spring to hold the black cover for the ribbon slider again.
After that I carefully assembled my Fuze again!
The mechanism was as smooth as silk and I was proud of myself
But then I switched it on and now I find that the Screen is somehow stuck at the LAndscape position.
To explaing it better, let's say if I reset my device and boot it up again (while the keypad is closed), my Fuze still thinks that the slider or keypad is OPEN so it boots up the TAEL ROM in landscape mode only! The only way to go to Portrait is to use the Rotate Screen option.
I thought this would get fixed by a had-Reset and Flashing it again but it still does not work
So now I am stuck on my fuze with the screen always in LANDSCAPE mode.
Note: All the keys are working fine on the Keyboard, including the back-lit!!!
Somehow I think that I missed something while putting it back that lets my Fuze to detect that the Keypad(Slider) is OPEN or CLOSED...
I'm not much of a Geek but I tried opening it again and checked all the ribbons and connectors... No luck.
All features of my Fuze are OK but for the fact that it is stuck always in LANDSCAPE mode whether I close the keypad or OPEN it!!!
Please help, I have an iPhone too but I love my Fuze!!! I don't want it to be sitting inside my desk for the rest of its life :'(
Is there a button or lock that detect the slider opening/closing?
Thanks,
