The end-user license agreement for TomTom Traffic states that you can use an account on one device at a time. TomTom will register on what device and with what product code an account is used. Should you switch device, then you have to ‘reset’ your account. You can do this on your MyTomTom page.

Question
My activation code no longer works on my repaired PocketPC.
Answer
It may well be that your Pocket PC was exchanged rather than repaired, and that therefore the device code has changed, making your current activation code invalid. In this case, please complete the support request form on this site (Send an E-mail) and then either :
- attach a scanned copy of the proof of repair to the support request, along with your new device code and your existing product code.
- fax a copy (+31204469447) of the proof of repair to TomTom, along with your new device code and your existing product code.
Upon receipt of this information, we will be happy to provide you with a new activation code.

TomTom activation code is device dependant so it won't work on another device. I think that after 6months you can register it on another device, but I am not sure about this.

Maybe someone could ahve alook at this link/page ?

I registered, signed an aggreement, then they want me to fax an agreement and then contact them to arrange delivery blah blah blah.
Thanks you for your interest in Atinav's aveLink Bluetooth protocol Stack
for WIN CE
Please fill out the attached License Agreement and fax back to us at +1

regarding the delivery options of the software.
If you have any problem to view the attachment please REPLY to this
message with your FAX Number, we will FAX you the Evaluation Agreement.
Thanks
Atinav Sales
Just tried to download but they want you to sign and fax back an evaluation agreement
I emailed & asked for a trial of their bluetooth audio driver for windows (for valid reasons; if I get it to work I can probably use it in a solution for my customers)
They emailed me back a login & pw. The login appears to work for downloading other versions of their s/w. You could try that approach.
Bear in mind that a) the trial I got was for 15 days only and if it's crackable then it's way beyond my abilities & b) their sales people will contact you to ask how you got on with the trial.

It didn't, but don't let that necessarily put you off. I'm using a Sony TR5MP laptop with an onboard Sony bluetooth chipset, which their stack doesn't seem to support. Note that Sony's chipset and/or drivers are notoriously a bit iffy, and wouldn't pair with anything except other Sony kit until XP SP2 came out.
What it does support (they claim) is any USB BT module. I'm currently trying to borrow a laptop from one of my colleagues, stick a USB BT adaptor in it and test out the stack.
However for "borrow" you can read "wrench from the lifeless hands of", so it might take a little while.

Updated my Crypto phone

My encryption voice system for windows mobile is updated , now you can use it with the Samsung BlackJack equipments. I tested it using the SGH-i321N with excellent results, if you have different models and want to take a look, please go to my site at http://www.raseac.com.br and download our freeware version, now any processor can be used with my system.
Next days I will test the Motorola Moto Q over CDMA, if you have this equipment and want to test it, please contact me, I can support you.
Our freeware allows full security, unlimited calls and a time limit for each call.
This version have a big improvement regarding delay over poor line conditions, if you tested our system before, I think you will find that this current build in our site deserves attention.
Any contacts please go to my site.
Best regards.
Cesar Bremer Pinheiro.
Updating Price.
Continuing our tradition of best prices, quality and encryption, now we are selling at US$250.00 for all versions.
Dear Cesar,
Are you sure that BlackJack is a compatible device?
without going into too much of details, may i suggest that Samsung SGH-i60x handsets are out of luck to be supported by data call centric application.
BlackJack.
Dear. SecureGSM.
This equipment is working fine with my system and I appreciate it.
We tested it using the Samsung SGH-i321 here in Brazil. This equipment came with CSD V.110 non-transparent mode and can't be changed (until now we do not know how to change it).
We advise our customers about this detail, because the V.110 not always works where the V.32 is working.
Cheers.
Cesar.
Cesar,
I Was referring to SGH- i60x phones ( BlackJack), not to SGH-i32x.
sgh-i32x will be ok, but have one _MAJOR_ isue. I will send you more info via Private Messaging.
Sorry, i did not pay attention about your emphasis in the SGH-i60x BlackJack. In my site I refer only to the SGH-i32x model ( called BlackJack too).
Regards.
Cesar.

New version of my crypto phone.

I am releasing a new version of my crypto phone, now my site moved from raseac.com.br to http://www.secvoice.com.br
The secvoice brand is easier to remember and i think it is a good name.
This version have an improved performance over poor lines and have a very nice user interface. I tested it with Windows Mobile 6 with success, i think it will work with the HTC made equipments.
In my site I posted the current tested equipments, if you want to test it with new ones, please report to me.
I continue to deploy the freeware version, unlimited secure calls and a time limit of 75 seconds for each call. The encryption is ECDH Koblitz 571 bits and AES 256 bits CBC.
Have fun.
Cesar.
hi cesar,
impossible to get a socket connection,is it supposed to work with french phone services?
another question:
if i install it on my htc and i call a normal phone, how the handskate is created for send the key?
doest both phone have to have it installed?
best regards
Socket connection.
Dear Nocomp.
The system works with GSM-CSD (Circuit Switched Data). Will not work with GPRS.
Each user must use the same system to do secure calls.
Take care about using the V.110 protocol, the best protocol to use regardind broader connectivitity is the V.32, please see inside the Config folder in our equipment the CSD Line Type settings. Always use non-transparent mode.
Regards.
Cesar.

Check which provider belongs 2 the number

Hey there...
today i had the idea to improve my adress book.. but dunno how...
since i got a tmobile germany and landline flatrate..i want to know if the number i'm contacting is for free or need to pay..
there is a possibility to call an number and enter the number you want 2 check and get the network.. but this kind of sucks big times... is there some kind of webservice or programm which can support my intension? and for example add a network prefix to the adressbooks name?
thx in advance
try this.
http://www.fonefinder.net
This is actually not what i am looking for... see for example there is my sisters contact in the adress book ... but how do i know if the number i am calling is for free because of my tmobile flatrate? nowadays you can take your number with you when changing the provider.. some years ago you where at least able to get the provider by the prefix of the mobile number..
now i want something what can tell me the provider to the number

It also doesn't actually work. It goes back to some outdated database before Local Number Portability worked. I put in my cell number, which used to be my landline number, and lo and behold, it still thinks it's owned by a local PacBell CO.
Well then in reality there truly is no way to know with 100% accuracy which provider someone is with. This at least provides some level of accuracy whether outdated or not. For instance, mine shows up as correct. Should I port my number tomorrow, it would be incorrect though. Don't think there is any other way available for regular consumer based searches.
but for example i can send a message with the number to some special tmobile number and it charges me with 19cent and sends the provider back.. infos in german
http://www.teltarif.de/i/portierung.html
i can also call a number for free and type in the phone number and it tells me the provider.. but this kind of sucks for all my addressbook entries

Yeah, but the only way to achieve what you're looking for is a direct and almost permanent connection to the database hosted by T-Mobile (
Zentrale Master Routing Datenbank (zMRDB)) in which the number and the provider to which it belongs is stored.
And since the access to this database is not free (not to say pretty expensive) you won't find any solution to this.
CU,
Cactus World
but it says i can use wap for it.. so somehow there must be an service to use, which provides the necessary infomation
MNP / zMRDB / provider finder

Hi adrian,
have you tried this: http://www.mobilfunknetz-finder.de
Would be nice to have something like ProviderFinder (works on iPhone only) for WM or Android.

HTCs respons on the exchange matter

so.. i've mailed HTC about the exchange client not syncing if the exchange server requires a pin code...
ME:
hi, i have a htc magic and im really happy with it. the only thing i cant get to work is the activesync client. which, from what i can read from the net doesnt support exchange servers that requires pin. ive tried to download dataviz roadsync which can handle the exchange sync with no problem, but roadsync cant sync calendars. and i want to be able to use the built in activesync client.. so my questions is: when will you upgrade the activesync client to support the pin (enterprise security?) function??? this is a vital part of my everyday work
HTC:
Dear Fredrik, Thank you for contacting HTC Europe, and thank you for your feedback. As you state in your email the Exchange Server application does not at this moment support pin security. We don't have the information if and when that will be available. I would advice you to state your question to the Android Developer team at developer.android.com to see if they could supply you with more information. (We at HTC are only involved in software development that seams our specific phones to suit the Android OS). If you have any further questions or queries, feel free to get back to us at any time. Kind Regards Dave Montanya HTC Europe
seems to me that they're saying, "we didnt develope the 'activesync' client, go ask google".. but how come this software is only on the htc branded phones? so i replied with:
ME:
hi again, thanks for your answer, but from what i can understand, from what i've read online, the software for syncing with exchange in my HTC branded Magic is developed by you guys at HTC, because you cant find this software on the regular google branded htc Magic phones. best regards fredrik
-update1-
HTC:
Thank you for your quick reply. I apologize for my earlier reply, you are indeed correct that HTC develops the inbuilt Exchange Server application (I had to double check this). Unfortunately as for now I can neither confirm or deny whether pin security or certificate support will be supported by a future upgrade or not. The Android OS is a very new OS and I personally believe that the support for the above functionality will be included by future updates (this is my personal opinion and not that of HTC Europe). Kind Regards Dave Montanya HTC Europe
ME:
thanks for the fast response! i hope that it will be implented very soon as stated in my first mail, this is a vital part of my daily work and i dont want to go back to using my old phone can you let me know when you hear anything about the pin security function? Because this is a big issue, practically all the big companys that uses exchange has pin security activated. So im far from alone with this problem thanks again, Fredrik
-update2-
HTC:
Thank you for your quick reply, I do understand the importance for you using this. In the meantime, feel free to look for alternative applications such as Roadsync or the other available Exchange Server applications on the market.
If I get any more information within a reasonable time, I will let you know by email.
Kind Regards
Dave Montanya
HTC Europe
i guess thats the end of it
ill uppdate if i ever get that mail from Dave.
Interesting matter! I'm not too interested in exchange support because I use gmail I hope you can tear out some more info
I would rather that they didn't implement any MS-crap as it only serves to propagate the repression. Force people to upgrade to something that isn't proprietary instead.

So you don't want me using the phone then?
My company uses Exchange, so I need that integration...
You think companies will stop using exchange cause people like android?
